Monarch Bay Golf Club - Tony Lema Course
Played On 12/22/2022Need work on fairways
Course is in decent shape. Need work on fairways. There are too many bald spots with dirt/mud. They have cut back some. “Trouble” rough area which makes the course easier to play.
Greens are in decent shape and shots will hold the green if hit properly.
Tee boxes also need work. Brown spots as well as uneven lies. The tee boxes should be flat and have grass
Crystal Springs Golf Course
Played On 11/11/2022Solid course … can use more monitoring for pace of play
Course is in great shape. We played 18! holes under 4 1/2 hours but should have been shorter. I believe it was the 2nd or 3rd group that was slow playing the entire round
Monarch Bay Golf Club - Tony Lema Course
Played On 03/05/2022Perfect weather with light winds
The course is in good shape. Some of the bunkers didn’t have a good amount of sand in it for bunker shots so just avoid the bunkers, lol!
Pace of play was decent there was a group ahead of the group in front of us that had 1 entire hole in front of them.
Lake Chabot Golf Course - The 18 Hole Course
Played On 01/02/2022Horrible drainage and no Marshalls
I will NEVER play this course during the winter. Drainage is horrible. We could find NUMEROUS balls that should not have been “lost”. Rough so thick and wet that balls were getting plugged and LOST.
To top it off there was a 3 some in front of our 4 some. The pace was slow for a 3 some. Then we realized the 2 guys were playing at the BLUE tees and had no business playing there. They also didn’t know golf etiquette and the player who hit the ball further was hitting his ball and the player behind was waiting for him. This was an ongoing thing witn these 2 guys.
Sad part is that there was no Marshall (at least that day) to remedy that situation.

Played On 06/25/2021First time impression … Very nice course
Early tee time (5:37am) to beat the heat. Course was damp in the morning from either watering or the passing thunderstorms from the day before.
Greens were a lot slower than I thought they would be. Some of the greens were bumpy (not from aerating) which threw off some of my putts.
The pace of play was awesome because I finished the round in 3 hours. This allowed me to keep a nice steady pace and not have to wait at all for any shots.
The GPS in the cart is nice because it tracks to the exact pin location. You can also pair your phone to play music in the golf cart.
At the end of the round, the worker cleans your irons for you when you return the cart.
I would definitely come back and play this course again.

Blackberry Farm Golf Course
Played On 03/13/2021Not too bad ...
Course was in decent shape. Staff was very friendly. Not much of a driving range. It’s just a mat where you hit into the netting. Greens were slow. Layout is a little confusing, but we were fortunate that we played with a regular who guided us around the course.
Monarch Bay Golf Club - Tony Lema Course
Played On 11/11/2020Course in good shape
I didn’t play my best round, but the course is in good condition. I was able to play 18 holes in 4 hours whiling walking. Will be back to redeem myself.
Poplar Creek Golf Course
Played On 04/28/2019Good round .. little slow
Course was in overall good shape. Our round took about 4 hours and 45 mins. We slowed down on the back nine on the last 4 holes.
I forgot what hole ... par 3 ... in the bunker .. hated it because there was no sand in the bunker so I couldn’t play a true bunker shot.
The restaurant is under renovation, but they did have complimentary coffee and pastries for everyone which was nice.
Poplar Creek Golf Course
Played On 02/01/2019Nice round ....
Course was in decent shape being that it had rained. They were stand still water spots on the course. Fortunate enough for the weather to hold off and it didn’t rain on us. Played the round in 3 hours and 40 mins which is a fast round for Poplar
Paradise Valley Golf Course
Played On 09/14/2018Early tee time ... fairways damp
I haven’t played here in a long time. They still have the GPS which is helpful for yardages.
Had a 7:44am tee time and played with 2 local retired guys (Terry & Al). Fun times with those guys.
Course was really damp in the fairway in the morning. I believe they have had that drainage issue for a long time. Wish they would resolve that.
We played a good round and Marshalls tired to help us out by talking to groups ahead to sped up the play.
Oh ... the greens are in pretty good shape. They are soft and balls sticks and spins.
Will definitely return and play.
Rancho Solano Golf Course
Played On 09/13/2018Course is in awesome shape
Played with my friends today. Course is challenging, but fun. Greens are really good. Balls stick and we got backspin some be aggressive since greens are huge. Otherwise you could easily 3 putt even though you are on in regulation. We will have our revenge n the course soon ... lol ;)
Rancho Solano Golf Course
Played On 09/05/2018Course was smooth
Haven’t played this course in a very long time. I enjoyed playing the course. Still friendly if you hit your clubs right ... lol! Wind was not a factor too much for us in the morning. Played 18 holes in 4 hours and 15 minutes. It was nice to have no back up on any holes.
