Although the official opening won't be until Spring 2024, I was very lucky to have gotten a sneak peak at this course. Well designed layout with very large and challenging greens. Turf was still immature but the greens were perfect. When the rough and rescue grows in it will play much harder. Nice driving range, large putting greens, onsite mini golf, pro shop looked nice but it wasn't open yet. Hopefully they will build a a short game practice area. can't wait to play it next Spring.

Played here after someone told me about how nice it was. Grabbed a buddy and headed down. This course has a few extra par 3’s and 5’s still playing as a par 72 it maxed out at 6200 yds, but what it lacked in length it made up for in a challenging layout. Well manicured, undulating greens, lush conditions thruout. Small practice range (180 yd max) and a very nice short game practice area too. Nice staff. Bar and grill on site. A++.

I’ve often seen this course on Golf Now but never thought to play here. I’m glad I did. Very well manicured. Although only 6200 yards from the tips, what it lacks in distance it makes up for in undulating greens, tree lined fairways that can squeeze a tee shot on some holes and a challenging layout. Definitely check it out. 👍🏻👍🏻

Short course with 14 par 3’s and 4 par 4’s. Each hole is framed out nicely. Small greens making you focus on precision iron shots. Course was in nice shape overall. Tee boxes are a little worn but you’d have to expect that with every tee shot being a short iron. Greens were in good shape- they be even better if people fixed their ball marks! My only complaint is even from the tips I think the longest par 3 was only 177 yds. If you’re looking for a nice little track to work on your short game and scoring clubs you need to check this place out.

Tight layout, some tough greens often in very good shape. Back nine tends to be wet on 10, 13, 15 & 16. Greens fees are a bit high for a public course.

Apparently the tee boxes are destroyed. They’re using temp tees on every hole. The tees are in some cases considerably forward of even the forward tees. The course plays more like an executive course. Fairways and greens were okay but a 70 yd par 3 or a 360 yd par 5 is ridiculous. Greens fees are way too much for those conditions. If you want to play Monmouth County, go play Hominy, Charleston Springs or even Shark River.

Great layout, undulating greens, big fairways, thick rough, tricky bunkers, elevation changes, all around an enjoyable day. Now if we could only get people to fix their ball marks on the greens. But that's the players fault, not the Superintendent. .

Great staff, nice facility. Greens still bumpy from the recent aeration and top dress. Once they grow it they'll be great. Challenging layout with doglegs, elevation changes and water. Some holes are very forgiving but many are tight driving holes. Favor accuracy over distance. A few risk-reward driving holes for long hitters. Always well kept.

Great condition, as always. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great bar/restaurant. Only complaints are the bunkers and GPS- some bunkers have sand, others dirt. Why? The on board GPS rarely gives accurate pins placements. Frustrating when hitting into hidden pins. Fescue growing in penalizing stray shots. Always a great time.

Sand Barrens is back! After suffering poor course conditions for the past few years this course is absolutely fantastic now! 27 holes on site, we played north to south. Big greens, immaculate conditions, rolled true, undulating breaks. Fairways in great shape! Waste bunkers can be challenging if you stray off the fairway but most fairways are big enough to be forgiving. $78 greens fees are a little steep but given the other courses are in the area it is worth it. Definately a must-play if your're looking to play anywhere south of Atlantic City.

Nice mix of hole layouts. Some holes offer great risk/reward opportunities. Fescue grass at full height making stray shots impossible to find- keep it your fairway! Tee boxes were a little beat up. Rarely a level stance. Greens were well manicured despite the fact that they were riddled with plug marks. PLEASE fix your ball marks!!! Staff very friendly. Play later in the day when the rates drop. I love the course, but not at $100.
