Hyde Park Golf Club

Just go play it- it’s a little scruffy around the edges, some of the greens need work, but I loved the layout and challenge of the sloping greens, that were running great. Don’t get behind the greens or the ball above the hole. Upgraded carts - waiting in GPS screens but GPS still installed , so you’ll get beeped and can only go in reverse if you get too close to greens. Clubhouse is in disrepair but they have a nice food trailer and clean bathrooms. The driving range is really nice - good turf with grass- you get aged range balls in a ziploc bag from the proshop. The antennas are a constant sight but not really in play- just on 10 Tee Ball. Go Play and have fun.
Hidden Hills Golf Course
Played On 02/24/2024Another Arnie Disappointment
I really wanted to like this course, but found it to be a typical Arnie design, and impossible for the average golfer - junk on both sides of fairway when teeing off (no place to miss), forced carries, many over water all the way to green, and stupid greens. Add in a 5+ hours round and I couldn't wait to leave, and wont be back. Plenty of other courses in the Jax area that offer a better experience for around the same price.
Golf Club At South Hampton
Played On 01/28/2024Great Place - forget the range
I like this course and play it lot and am considering joining. The course layout can be challenging off some tees, but I like the overall layout. They have some really bad spots on the greens, that they are covering up with what I think is mud and green paint. After I putted thru this crap once, I kept moving my ball to avoid it.
The practice area is great - bunker/green, chipping green, numerous putting greens and a driving range
Avoid the range - it is mud with some grass somewhere - I couldn't find it and it doesnt look like they are doing anything to improve the areas you CANT hit front. The members range in the back looks like Augusta. I paid $25 for 2 buckets of balls to hit off terrrible turf conditions, Do Better
Cimarrone Golf Club
Played On 11/25/2023Great facility but Greens not so much
Really nice area and great facility - turf practice range, nice club house and pro shop and great seating area/bar with TV's outside.
I really enjoyed the course from the white tees - nice layout - different variety of holes - and although there is water on most of the holes, it is avoidable with plenty of room of tees and typically a bail out side.
The Greens - not so much -I know they have been working on them but they just arent there yet - bumpy - difficult to read - some areas have grass but its a minority
I'd give it a 4.5 if they could get their greens like St Johns,
Dubsdread Golf Course
Played On 09/21/2023Dubs and Tap Room are the best
Great historic course with layout that demands all the shots. Tips are short but Par 70, so still some long holes. Course was in great shape and although greens recovering from aeration they were fast and true. Play here then go eat off the unbelievable menu at the Tap room. We sat at the bar and gorged. Just go play, then eat!
Shingle Creek Golf Club
Played On 09/14/2023Why no aeration warning
Love this place- my favorite course in Orlando- started playing it way before the redesign.
Course tee to green was awesome, as usual, but I was extremely surprised and disappointed to find the greens just recovering from aeration. Impossible to keep balls on line- really affected my overall experience. Granted, I booked a hot deal, but still no mention of any recent aeration. We purposely did not play Dubs because they had aeration warnings posted. Other than that, this place is awesome.
MetroWest Golf Club
Played On 09/05/2022Improvements Showing!!!!!
I love MetroWest - started playing here years ago and like everybody else that knew this place, I was sorry to see it go down hill. BUT, things are improving, and the first place they started were the greens, which were excellent- looked good, rolled true, and held quality shots, Best Ive played on all summer. The rest of the place is still a little tired - fairways need more grass, less weeds, but I could always find a decent lie nearby - tees are shot - bathrooms need a remodel and it would be nice if the buildings had water and ice machines added. Starter said a new sprinkler system is on tap for next March which should help the grass grow in the future. The BAD: No water on course to drink anywhere, and no service cart, BYOB. Limited selection in pro shop of other drinks and food. they were cooking hot dogs and burgers at the turn on a outdoor grill. Go play - its a great layout and you'll love the greens.

Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course
Played On 05/29/2022Great course indifferent staff
Really great course conditions and fabulous greens. Layout is fair- room off the tees.
The staff was inattentive in the pro shop, and the starter was haphazardly assigning starting tees and rotations based on what members were there, and not on your t time or what was stamped on your receipt. We got put on the slow side - took over 2.5 hours for front nine, while I am sure the members breezed thru on the open 9.
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course
Played On 05/29/2022Great Conditions
Nicely maintained track. Fairways have nice grass and greens might be the best in Central FLA. they look nice and run just as good.
The staff inside was very young and were indifferent when checking in. No greeting and no info after paying.
Found the starter wandering around outside and it seemed like he was picking starting tees at random, despite what was on my receipt, giving members added privileges. I get it, but everybody wants to start on time and play fast.
5 stars on the track and conditions 2 stars on the staff.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
Played On 12/25/2021XMAS Golf
Only course open on Christmas Day in the local are worth playing. Very small crowd and pace was great, after we went around a twosome holding the whole course up. Greens are always shaggy here and slow. Wish they speed them up. Rest of course was in good shape.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
Played On 05/15/2021Slow!
Pace of play was awful, again. Not a marshall in site- took almost 5 hours behind a threesome that had holes in front of them.
Course in great shape except for some red tee boxes, but they continue to keep the greens at carpet pace- slowest greens in the area, and I don’t know why- and the practice green doesn’t match.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
Played On 02/27/2021Great facility, but....
I love this place- live locally and play both courses often, but come on man!
5 Hours to play 16 holes. Called for assistance and the ranger actually to.d us nobody was playing slow and there were just a lot of players- what in the actual F? Really? Obviously way over booked, but still, I’ve played a lot of golf on packed courses and it should never take 5 and half hours. After we bailed after 16, there were 4 groups on 17 and only one on 18 and they were on the green! This is a major ranger problem.
Every time I check in, somebody at a register is ALWAYS on the phone. Hire somebody to answer the phones besides your check in agents. Ive wasted practice time standing around in the pro shop.....
Greens are beyond way too slow- the are like wet shag carpet- cut em, roll them - they are great green complexes but ruined at these speeds.
$8 for a small bucket of terrible over used balls, and then the range didn’t have a blade or grass on it- dirt. Come on, man.
Eagle Dunes Golf Club
Played On 02/21/2021Long Round
Course jammed packed- lined up on first tee and no carts until groups finished 18- front nine was over 2,5 hours- finished in 445
Greens are still the best in the area, but there are a lot of bare, bad lies everywhere, just off fairways and around greens.
I play here because it’s close and cheap, and I get what I pay for.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Eagle Dunes Golf Club. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Harbor Hills Country Club
Played On 09/26/2020Nice Track
I was hesitant to play based on comments earlier in the year about course conditions. Recent reviews were the opposite.
I found the conditions great. Nice fairways and plenty of medium height Bermuda rough. Greens looked great, held good shots but ran about average speed.
We stopped between nines (and of course didn’t use the 25% coupon the pro shop gave us, so two egg salad sandwiches with chips was over $25.). They were HUGE and delicious and we’ve had lunch in the clubhouse before and it was great too.
The course is also very beautiful with nice planting and natural vegetation and some nice elevation changes.
Play the course, eat their food and really enjoy yourself.

What a fabulous golf course out in the middle of nowhere. You can let it rip here- generous landing zones. Turf everywhere was best I’ve played on in Central FL, ALL year and I play a few times a week. Great practice facilities too.
If you play golf, play here next.
My only concern is the lack of use of COVID guidelines: cart drop with guys that unload bag- no masks or gloves. They did drop off a cart at our car after we drive past them and parked. No masks or social distancing guidelines inside- even by workers serving food. Bar was busy - not one mask. Rakes are in all the bunkers, no spacers in cups and foursomes in 2 carts. I’ve played many times since March and no other course I’ve been to has been this lax.
Loved the whole place and I am praying their loose policies don’t affect any employees or their loved ones.
Mount Dora Golf Club
Played On 03/01/2020Has Potential
The first few holes are a little bland but once you get to the back of the course, there’s is really nice hilly terrain and some great holes.
The issue is with conditions..... had a lot of bare lies and there is turf issues everywhere. Greens need work too- slow bumpy and inconsistent.
Staff was super friendly and the price was right.
No driving range or practice area- I saw a green and an area in the back for maybe short game shots.
Play it once for the back property then hope they make the conditions a lot better in the future
Eagle Dunes Golf Club
Played On 06/20/2020Easy Course with great greens
I play here often and love the layout for my confidence ( my handicap at this course is LESS than my index) and the greens because of their condition and speed. BEST GRRENS I’VE PLAYED ALL SPRING IN LAKE COUNTY.
When the course is dry it plays really short and fun. Lot of options to get to the hole with approaches and pitching and chipping.
Had some mud balls and not much roll this weekend due to all the rain, but the greens were holding nice and putting pure.
Nice driving range/practice area. The balks were a little skanky.
Go have some fun and play here!
Delray Beach Golf Club
Played On 08/11/2019Nice course for a Muni
Loved the layout- fairways were in good shape, but spotty tees and bumpy and slow greens. I found the greens difficult to read and putt.
However, for the summer price, quality of the layout, friendly staff and nice little bar, I would recommend a visit.
Thank you for visiting us at Delray Beach Golf Club. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Bella Vista Country Club - Highlands Course
Played On 11/25/2017Highlands
Really liked the course - front nine is a little tighter off the tee, but the back is great - loved it! Course has gentle rolling terrain and no severe elevation drops. Greens were overseeded and the rest of the course was dormant, but they ran true and the fairway lies were good. The bermuda rough was long in a few places, which tends to each your ball and make it hard to find unless you walk or drive right over it.
My only complaint is that when we arrived, my wife and I are were literally one of the first ones there. We had a tee time but were 1/2 hour early, but the starter made us wait until a twosome with a tee time just ahead of us arrived and teed off before he would let us, obviously perceiving ALL woman golfers to be slow. We stayed right on behind them and played in 3 hours, often waiting for them for short periods on the greens.
Would recommend this course if you are in the area and want a nice place to play with both challenging and fun holes.
Hawk's Eye at Shanty Creek
Played On 09/03/2017Mostly Good - some bad
Great terrain and course lay out- I don't know who John Robinson is but this a memorable golf course with some great holes and unlike The Legend has some room of the Tee and most of the holes are right in front of you.
The staff that was there was friendly and the restruant has very limited menu and was understaffed. The chili was good and so were the club sandwiches at the turn, but they took 15 minutes to make them
No beveridge cart on the course and no bag service afterwards
The greens are complex, have a lot of buried elephants and were hard and fast, so some pin placements were impossible to get close with chips and even sometime putts and a few were just flat ridiculous if you get on the wrong side.
My biggest complaint thoough were the bunkers. They are full of rocks! Big, small and tiny and many of the tiny ones end up on the green after people blast out and can knock your putts off line if you don't clean them all. Every bunker needs to be redone with USGA SAND
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us, Mlynes. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Hidden Hills Golf Course, and we hope to see you again in the future.
