Emerald Greens Golf Club - Silver Course
Played On 06/14/2015Always a good time
My wife and I were looking for a place to play a quick round of golf. We found a great deal on Golf Now and we were off to Emerald Greens in Hastings. The course was in good shape and we hit the links right away, just the two of us. The weather was great, the staff was very courteous and we had fun in just a little over three hours and 15 minutes. Any time you play Emerald Greens, it's always a good time.
Mississippi Dunes Golf Links
Played On 07/20/2014Better than last time
I hadn't played Mississippi Dunes in a long time. The last time I played there the course was just in decent shape and the staff wasn't exactly friendly. This time out the course was in great shape, the staff was very nice (especially Bruce the starter) and I will be back. The only problem I had with the course was the lay out. Watch the markers for the next hole, otherwise you'll find yourself at the wrong tee box and setting everybody back a bit. One other thing, the par 3's play longer than they're listed at.
Lakeside/Meadows at Shaker Run Golf Club
Played On 06/26/2014Where's the management
We called before we played and asked for rental clubs. When we got there the clubs were old and not cleaned. There was no markings at tee boxes or on the scorecards on distances or course layouts. There wasn't a cart person until hole 17 and we only saw one restroom on the course. When we went to the clubhouse at the turn, they had no gatorade, bottled water or snacks. The course was beautiful and challenging, but no one seemed to be running the asylum. Do yourself a favor. If you're in Dayton skip this poorly managed pretty course.
Wolfdancer Golf Club
Played On 04/21/2014Wolfdancer worth the price
First off, let me start by saying the group I golfed with found a great deal on GolfNow, so whatever happened at the course was gravy. The only downside I found was the drive to the course. Have your Ipod ready and a great GPS service on your phone or in your car because it's a long way from Austin. Let's just say the course is beautiful, the staff is friendly and ready to help in anyway and the golf is fantastic. The course was in pretty good shape for the middle of April. The greens were fast and the tee boxes were nice. It's the golf experience you want when you're coming in from out of town. If you want a great experience and a solid round of golf in the Austin area, Wolfdancer should be on the top of your list. If you can't get a deal on GolfNow, just spend the money and enjoy your round. This is what 18 holes in supposed to be.....fun!
Deer Run Golf Club
Played On 8/18/2013Always a great round of golf.
I play Deer Run at least three times a year and I'm never disappointed. The course is very playable but has some holes that make you work for your shot or at least make you think twice about what club you're pulling out of your bag. If you're looking for a course in good shape, challenging but fair pin placements and a decent price, Deer Run should be on your list. Once you're done with your round have a burger in the clubhouse, it's one of the best.
The Meadows at Mystic Lake
Played On 8/17/2013A little bit pricey but worth every penny.
My wife and I have always heard great things about this course but we never played it due to the price. But we found a deal on Golf Now for less than half of a normal round and set out for Shakopee. Once we got there the staff was very friendly and courteous. We marveled at the green and spacious course and took to the first tee. From start to finish the course was challenging yet picturesque and very fun. Yes there were some holes that we were glad to finish, but they were worth still every penny. This course is a must for any golfer. Whether you're a weekend hacker or a scratch golfer......The Meadows at Mystic Lake has something for everyone.
