Bethesda Grange Golf Course
Played On 06/25/2022Nice Course
Bethesda Grange is the nicer of the 3 courses at the Rolling Hills facility. It's a walkable course with some challenging holes. The course was in good condition when I played. The staff are pleasant.
I would play there more often if there was a practice range to loosen-up before the round. Ther are chipping and putting greens but I need to have a few warm-up swings with long irons and even a 3-Wood - - that's just me!
Sleepy Hollow Country Club
Played On 07/02/2020Nice Mix of Blind Tee-Offs
This is a nice course with a good mix of blind tee-offs, elevated a tee boxes and elevated greens. The tree lined fairways look tight but open up after the tee-off. Only one forced carry of around 200 yards. The greens are undulating and challenging. There is a good practice area with a driving range, putting/chipping green and a bunker. The view around the course is also nice, I'll be back to play during the fall when I'm sure the views are terrific.
Lionhead Golf and Country Club - Masters
Played On 08/11/2018Nice course for good round of golf with Friends
Both courses at Lionhead are challenging and make for a nice round of Golf. The greens are a bit bumpy for a course of this caliber/price range. But there not overly difficult or too undulating with unfair pin placements. The clubhouse restaurant is very good -- nice decor, patio and good menu selections.
Pheasant Run Golf Club - Highlands
Played On 07/08/2018Its good to test your game on a tougher course
Pheasant Run is a good challenging course. The practice Range is excellent - Driving, Chipping, Putting and Bunkers.
Pheasant Run Golf Club - Highlands
Played On 08/27/2017Its good to test your game on a tougher course
We played the Midlands- Highlands courses and it was a good day of Golfing on a challenging layout. The courses were in very good condition the greens were well maintained and not too fast. Its a mature course with narrow, tree lined, fairways or lateral water hazards.
The practice range is very good, with areas to warm-up all your shots before the round. The only precaution being that the sand in the bunkers on the practice range is better and deeper than on the course.
Its good to test your game on a tougher course periodically -- we'll be back!
Richmond Hill Golf Club
Played On 08/02/2017Nice course close to Toronto
I've played Richmond Hill at least once a year, it is reasonably close to my house without having to go further north , west or east. It is well maintained and there are a number of challenging holes and some tight fairways among the back nine that are located in the valley portion of the layout. It is a walkable course. There are good warm-up facilities - Driving Range and Putting Green. (but no Chipping practice area) and the clubhouse has modern décor with friendly staff. I'll be back !
Thanks for the great review, we look forward to seeing you out again soon!
Thanks!
