Chedoke Civic Golf Course - Beddoe
Played On 05/27/2020Usually my favourite
I always enjoy playing beddoe but this time the course clearly lacked maintenance from its usual standards. I assume this is because of covid. No putting or chipping practice areas. Slow greens on hot days. Very thick rough and unnecessary lost balls. Pool noodles in every hole (provincial code maybe?) but to high and many fake lip outs. With that being said, I love playing here and will still play...I assume this is just the normal right now until everyone heals up—buyer beware if you’re looking for 2019 standards.
King's Forest Golf Course
Played On 09/17/2018Great course!
Kings Forrest is always a treat to play. From check-in, that staff were friendly. We putted around for a little bit before our tee time. Large putting area---didn't notice a place to chip.
Tee boxes were a little banged up, but it is the near the end of the season so it's understandable. I did manage to slip twice when teeing off (wearing golf shoes).
Greens were slow and a little long which is rare--again, I attribute this to nearing the end of the season.
I love the challenge of this course and bunkers protecting some of the greens--great opportunity to get out the 60.
The beer cart came around often, a nice touch!
Overall fairways were in good condition---it's a great course and extremely scenic.
Pace of play was a little slow, but when you're hitting the ball well--sometimes you have to wait for others.
I look forward to playing here again!
Chedoke Civic Golf Course - Beddoe
Played On 09/28/2017For a little more--the beddoe is the winner
Had a great round of golf. Some maintence was being done but the workers were respectful when we were on the tee box. No beverage cart on duty. A slow foresome let us play through and we ended up finishing 345. Looking forward to playing a here again a few more times before season ends.
Caistorville Golf Club
Played On 09/14/2017Excellent for what the price is.
Had a fantastic hot deal price so I had to check it out. It was fantastic for $12. For 18 holes par 68, I can't complain. Very few golfers on the course--gave me an excellent opportunity to practice different holes a few times--same price as driving range. Staff were very friendly. Would play here again for the hot deal...not sure I would pay more unless fairways improved and they got rid of the crab grass and weeds around the green.
