A project to repair the green approaches surprised me. Best condition I ever seen the course. Put that black tee box back on the other tee box and make#14 a par 5

Meadows is improving thanks to new owners who took over two years ago.

No one not even the pro shop clerk told me the course was closing early. Arrived for 2:48 tee time and was on 12th tee box when ranger came out to tell us this was the last hole and gates were closing.

Good conditions at local short course East orange.

Good conditions and some attractive pricing on hot deals makes local East orange a winner. The starter red has retired until next spring but conditions are still good.

Teed off at 12:35 and got 15 holes in. Rain is in the ten day but East orange remains in great shape.

My favorite course not in my immediate area in Morris county. Superb. All the cups were tucked in corners or on breaks which made putting interesting. Got a cart from the inside pro shop guy even though I didn’t pay for it on golf now and the starter gave me a yardage book gratis. $38 to walk is a steal on a Sunday. Go play quail brook if you haven’t already.

4 hr and 15 minute round on a nice weather Thursday. Red the starter was cordial as always and course was dry and firm. Favorite local course

Good place for a friendly skins match. Short and walkable. Missed a lot of two footers today, cups on some holes were not handled with care(8 do grounds at a country club). Course opened an hour late after frost but we were first group out. Seeing the crew blowing leaves off teee boxes and fairways was comforting. Now my home course since I live ten minutes away. Book through golfnow but definitely getting the $60 discount card in the spring.

About 25 minutes from AC, I am from north jersey and this was the only course I haven’t played yet. It was a great value at $45 for November, but the wind was howling that day and made scoring difficult. Lost about a dozen balls but I lost track. Very firm and no trees except for two holes which go through the woods across the street. Links style. Forgot the fairway was split on one hole and hit a driverslice into the right fairway that I didn’t realize was even there. You need a gps to really appreciate the layout, it takes a learning curve with elevation changes and blind shots. But the course conditions were great and greens were the fastest I putt on all year. Definitely challenging and worth the return trip.

Played quail brook for the first time in a few months, somerset county is doing a great job. It was excellent course conditions and I look forward to a shotgun Turkey shoot or New Year’s Day outing that I usually participate in. I live in the eastern part of morris county and this course is easy to get to. Worth the 40 minute trip every time.

$195 including cart and unlimited range balls to play a Saturday late morning in September. Views of bay/ac skyline and fescue/bunkers everywhere, especially on back 9. Bring some extra balls, memorable holes were the 595 yard par 5 into the wind on the front, and just about every par 3 on the course. The history behind this place and clubhouse are worth a tour. The food was delicious and amazing at the pub after. Will worth the $$$ and I will be back on my next trip to Atlantic City.

Knew I was in for a challenging day when I read the tee box message that said "pin position 5". Many of these greens are very large and three tiers. Needless to say I had a few from 12 feet and in that just lipped out of the cup. Was paired with a member and two other people that have only played this course once previously and we had a blast. Lunch was good on the outdoor patio too beforehand. The halfway house was a good place to pick up beverages, cause you need to stay hydrated. A little pricey but the conditions are superb. The closing hole, 18, makes you want to go for it over a man-made lake with a wall in front of the green, Almost made it but bounced back in. I shot an 88 (I am usually in the mid 80's) from the blue tees, a good mix of short par 4's, really challendging par 3's with forced carries over fescue and i imagine the wind makes it even more difficult. I am from north jersey but this is on my list to play again and again when i come back to egg harbor / atlantic city.

Greens were in great shape and for not getting play for over a month. I would use caution in coming here after heavy rain, course does NOT drain well. No carts are going to help the condition of the course, but some hackers were in front of us, so we teed off at 4:22 and barely finished by the time darkness settled in. Can't beat $25 when twilight starts at 3. I will probably play every saturday while the days are long as it is close to my work and home.

Weequahic recently had renovations done, and while I'm not sure what they are, the course is a gem even though its very short (6000 yards) by today's standards. Can't believe you are in the middle of Newark. There is not a lick of water and it's easy to score even if you miss the tight fairways. bring your wedge game, you are gonna need it. There are two-three almost driveable par 4's, but you will need to hit half wedges and chip shots for the second shot to VERY small greens. Wind plays a factor on some of the par 3's. I had a 4:24 tee time and we finished 16 of the 18 holes by the time we were ushered off of the golf course (The county sheriffs are apparently adept at getting people out of the parking lot by a certain time). We would have finished if we didn't have to be "in the parking lot" by 10 of 8.

Teed up with a husband and wife twosome on New Years Day. There was just one group in front of us, but no excessive waiting and the course was relatively empty. Certain spots on the back 9 were a little big soggy (drainage issue) including a green complex or two. Then again, there was some decent rain. Played a good round and shot a solid 85, which included a birdie on 17. You're gonna use your thinking cap and most of your bag on this course. The wind made some of the holes REALLY long, and that's part of the challenge of the course. Gotta know where to place it off the tee, some of the green complexes are sheltered by trees and bunkers. Will be back again. 5 stars!

Played for the first time at harbor pines while on vacation. Well worth the short trip from Atlantic City. Really well taken care of, greens were near perfect. Lost a ball or two on the first hole in the rough, which is very thick in spots. The wind was really afactor as there was a tropical storm pulling away, luckily even though there was a lot of waiting in spots, we finished by the time it got dark at 6:30.

Solid course. A little upset they are planning on turning 1 into a par 4 (making it a par 34) and turning 15 into a Par 5 (making that nine a par 36) since I think the first hole is a good opener. They are putting in a short game area. It is a classic Charles Banks designed course that for the summer was in excellent shape, a lot better than I remember it a year ago when I last played. The guy I played with also had great things to say about Weequahic which they dumped a lot of money into to restore. Well worth the trip. Balls can get lost in native areas on certain holes. 12th is a tough par 4, often into the wind. 15 has a tough green complex but I managed to cut one right over the treeline and into the fairway. I played a lot better on the back, i'll take my 47-41 any day of the week.

Well worth the trip to come down from morris county, NJ on a day that there was snowcover everywhere north oF I-195. Played the two nines but not Pines, which was closed. I'd imagine pines is like the front 9 I played, but the other 9, Dunes, is a beast unbecoming of itself. Bring lots of balls for this 9. Some of the holes are borderline ridiculous how narrow the fairways are, blind shots, water, hills. but its something you wouldn't expect in plain old Lakewood. Heard from other comments this place may be closing for development, people need to get out and support this place if that is the case .I would've paid $50 for a day I played for nothing cause I had rewards points I used.

Course was open, and driving from north jersey down 287, there was no snow from the recent storm south of 78 / Bedminster. Course was open as advertised; walking only. There was a bit of standing water in the bunkers from all the rain, and it was windy, we teed off at over 40 degrees and by the time we finished about 4 hours later, it was 28. I played with three brave Asian souls and we had a blast. The course is even better in the summer, some of the best public golf in the state.
