Desert Sands Golf Course
Played On 01/30/2020Tough greens
A decent course for the price. Fairways are in good shape. Greens are in quite good shape but, because of their contours, represent the greatest challenge on the course. Some of the tee boxes could use some attention. I think because they are quite small it’s difficult to maintain them. The course is quite forgiving for the most part. Water comes into play on three holes. No bunkers to contend with. Pace of play was good this day, but not always. It’s a great course to work on one’s golf game.
Desert Sands Golf Course
Played On 12/13/2019Many improvements past few years
I haven’t played this course for a few years. It has been greatly improved. Greens are in great shape though difficult and a bit slow compared to other courses. Tee boxes are small and a bit rough. Fairways are in decent shape and generous for most.golfers.. It is an easy walk if one is so inclined. Pace of play was very good on this day. Greens pose the biggest challenge as they are often quite sloped and crowned . . . Tricky. The practice area is quite improved especially the chipping area. I’ll probably play it more frequently.

Apache Creek Golf Club
Played On 12/20/2018Keeps getting better
The course is in great condition at this time. Fairways are nice and green due to generous watering. That does lead to isolated spots of standing water. Greens are in great shape, very fast and challenging. Grass around the greens is cropped short enough to make chipping and pitching a reasonable endeavor. The traps are full of fluffy sand and their numbers are reasonable, maybe one or two per hole.. This is a desert course, so driving accuracy is a plus. The practice facilities are very good. Clubhouse has a decent sandwich shop for a drink and/or bite at the turn or after the round.
We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. It is great to see you had an enjoyable time on the course and we hope you join us for another round soon.
Apache Creek Golf Club
Played On 11/17/2018Nice desert course
This is my first time playing the course this fall. It is in good shape. Pace of play was reasonable. Greens are challenging but generous in size. There are a few bunkers strategically placed to keep one honest . . . Not so many to make life miserable.

Apache Creek Golf Club
Played On 03/28/2018Still playing decently
Course is drying out a bit with the hot weather and lack of rain. A few dry spots here and there in the fairways. Greens are holding up well . . . Fairly fast and always a challenge. All in all, the course is still a good play for a desert course. It is fairly forgiving if you miss the fairway and don’t mind playing your shots off sandy gravely desert lies. Pace of play has been very good last few times out. Personnel are always cordial. Amenities are decent.
Greenfield Lakes Golf Course
Played On 03/20/2018Decent executive course
This course is always fun to play. Good variety on the holes. A lot of fun short par 3s. Greens and fairways are in decent condition. No sand traps is always appealing. Pace of play this day was excellent.
Apache Creek Golf Club
Played On 03/05/2018Nice round
Course is in good shape with good variation on holes. A couple of short par 3s over hazards are always fun with opportunities for birdies. Fairways have a nice knap with the exception of a few dry areas. Greens are in terrific condition but not necessarily easy to negotiate. Bunkers contain nice sand though I recommend not being in them. Bring a desert club if you don’t hit your driver straight. Pace of play is usually pretty good during weekdays. The practice facilities are good, a definite plus. Staff is always cordial.
Greenfield Lakes Golf Course
Played On 03/01/2018Decent course
Great course to work on your short game. Fairways are decent condition. Greens are in good condition. Pace of play was about as good as I have seen on this course. No one pushing: no waiting. Just lucky as this is not usually the case. It is excellent value at $30 plus or minus for late morning during prime time season. No complaints from me at this time.
Sunland Village Golf Course
Played On 01/14/2018Great executive course
This is my first experience at this course. I heard it was a nice course and can confirm that assessment. Fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Par 4 fairways on the front are generous, but things tighten up on the back. Undulating speedy greens are a challenge. Water comes into play on quite a few holes. Many of the par 3s are short and fun. I recommend giving the course a try.
Arizona Golf Resort
Played On 12/31/2017Decent course
Course is in fair condition. Fairways are just average. Greens are in good condition and challenging. Par 3s are generally quite long from the whites and blues. At 70 I like playing the gold tees on the par 3s and whites on the rest. The staff is friendly.
The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek
Played On 12/28/2017Nice course
I play this course from time to time. It is always in good condition as it was this time. It is a short course but is plenty challenging with a fair amount of water coming in to play. Got to be accurate and have your distances down or you will lose a few balls. Greens are in great shape and fairways in good condition. Club house is nice.

This is a great course for sharpening your short game. Fairways on longer holes are generous. Lots of short par 3s with a couple longer par 5s. No sand traps. Greens are in good shape. Value is reasonable. if you are on your game, you can score low. The practice facility is decent.

Apache Creek Golf Club
Played On 11/27/2017Course is in great condition
A lot of watering on the fairways during play. Fairways are a little too fluffy. Like playing from the second cut. That’s ok. I just need to put different clubs in the bag to handle the the situation. Course condition is about as good as I have seen it in years. Very good course for the value.
Championship at Viewpoint Golf Resort
Played On 11/26/2017Nice course
This course is in fine condition. Greens are great. It is moderately challenging. Fairways are reasonably generous and mostly banked with a few traps here and there. . . Sort of a traditional layout.
Greenfield Lakes Golf Course
Played On 11/20/2017Enjoyable outing
This course is in great shape. Greens are in excellent condition. Pace of play was good . . . No waiting. The rough around the greens is challenging as it is currently lush and fairly long in places. It’s an ok challenge. Swing out of your shoes.

This course has been over seeded and is in very good condition. It’s a fair course. Not too long. I Always enjoy playing it.
Las Colinas Golf Club
Played On 03/14/2017Keep the ball in the fairway.
Nice course layout with undulating fairways. Fairways are in good shape. Greens are large with a lot of subtle breaks. The fringe around the greens is generous for the most part. My main complaint is the lack of any quality rough around the greens. If you miss the green left, right or long by 5 or more yards you are chipping or pitching from hard pan or splotchy poa grass. Fairway rough is for the most part similar so it is imperative to keep the ball in the fairway to score well. Miss your approach shot and you will pay a heavy price.
The Links Golf Club At Queen Creek

I always enjoy playing this course. It's not a long course, but still challenging. Have some water to deal with on several holes. Greens are in great shape. Rough can be a bit thick in places.
