The Golf Club at Cimarron Trails
Played On 07/07/2020Still worth it.
I was worried because the last time I made the drive from OKC the greens were not as good as I had come to expect, but they're back! I didnt play well, but the course was in great shape. I'll definitely make the drive again soon.
The Golf Club at Cimarron Trails
Played On 08/19/2016Always in great shape.
I didn't play well, but it had nothing to do with the course. I can always count on this course to be in great shape. That's why I drive 45 mins to play there. Good greens, challenging, great risk/reward holes and a good variety.
Turkey Creek Golf Club
Played On 04/23/2014Small greens are even smaller on a windy day!
Thoroughly enjoyed the course! Even though the course is transitioning from dormant fairways, it is well maintained. Some greens have dead spots, but they rarely affected my putts. The course is definitely challenging with its small greens, and difficult approach shots were even more difficult in blustery conditions. Pleasant surprise and worth the money and the drive.
Crimson Creek Golf Course
Played On 04/22/2014Customer service is a lost art.
Unfortunately, my my enjoyment of round at Crimson Creek was totally dictated by the guy in the pro shop. I arrived early thinking I may be able to tee off early, but he was not accommodating. I understand if your tee sheet is actually as full as you say, but there were multiple gaps before I tee'd off. Sometimes people are just inclined to say "no" even when an acceptable alternative is available. The course had gone through aerification a month prior, but greens still had sand and were inconsistent. The course has some challenging holes but it is fair. It is a fun design, but I doubt i will make the trip again. Even for $12. Thanks to my playing partners Fred and Diane for recommending some other courses.
Winter Creek Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/15/2014Great design. Needs a little work.
Fun and challenging course. Disappointed in the condition and speed of the greens. Several greens on the front nine had dead areas. The speed of the greens were quite slow. This course would be fantastic if it were in great shape. The round was still enjoyable, and I got it at a great price. ($18).
Hidden Trails Country Club
Played On 11/19/2013Grown to enjoy this course.
I have played three rounds here. Initially I was not a fan of this course. It did not have the aesthetic appeal due to the dormant grass and the fairways were not well maintained, but after playing my first round, I recognized that the course possesses all the components for an enjoyable round. Even though the fairways were not excellent the lie was consistent. The greens were in excellent condition and the course itself contains several interesting/challenging holes.
The Golf Club of Dallas
Played On 6/29/2013Even slow play couldn't ruin this course.
I don't like slow play, but I am a very patient golfer. We teed off a little late and the round took nearly 5 hrs. That was difficult, but I still LOVE this course! Especially when I played for less than $20. This was my second time playing here and it helped that a guy in my group knew the layout because you can't just grip it and rip it. Some holes are tightly lined with trees. They have great risk/reward holes, elevation changes, and small undulating greens. The conditions were excellent during both of my rounds (winter and summer). I dont live in the Dallas area, but this will be the course I play when I visit from now on.
Fairfax Golf Club
Played On 12/1/2012The course was in great condition.
I really enjoyed this course. The greens were firm and fairly fast, and the pins were in challenging locations. I will definitely play this course again.
