I have played here several times. It has a great layout with challenging holes. It has been a little while since I had been there and this time the condition of the course was not what I expected. Given the fair weather we have had this spring, it should have been further along. Maybe warmer weather will help the Bermuda. The course was packed that day and the staff was doing their best to do things right with the covid issue and to keep people moving through.

I really liked this course. Its out in the country in a peaceful setting. There are only two holes on a road and only one or two houses in sight the whole time you're on the course. The greens were in fantastic shape when I played. The fairways were not bad either, just not as nice as the greens. It is a Links course as advertised, so don't be surprised by some thick rough. I'm not a great golfer by any stretch but I didn't think the actual links style rough really came into play that much. If you can keep it inside the first cut, you'll be fine.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. One last thing, the wood carvings (chain saw?) are a nice touch and add character (you may want to bring a camera).

Lane Creek is a very nice golf course. It has always been in good shape when I have played it. It doesn't play really long so you don't need driver on every hole, but if you choose the driver on every hole you had better be accurate with it.

This is relatively straight forward course. Nice for average players. The best part about the course is that the staff is great and very friendly and the course itself is set back on a hill with no houses, roads, traffic, etc. to distract you. I've been there twice now and it is not too crowded either. So the experience is very peaceful and relaxing. I like it. The biggest drawback is that the greens have been in fairly poor shape both times. They're not too rough or uneven, just either very little grass or very long grass. Regardless of that, I will be back because of the relaxing atmosphere

This is a great course and the hot deal made it a fantastic value. The course is beautiful and well maintained even in the winter. It is part of a large subdivision but is very unique in that every hole is completely separate from the others, non of them are adjacent to each other and the there is a short cart ride through the woods or the sub between each hole. This makes it very relaxing though I don't think you would want to walk it. It's about a 30 min. ride from downtown but worth it.

This is a great old Donald Ross design course to play if only to be able to say that you have done it. It is still beautiful with all the old live oaks around even though the neighborhood is probably not what it was in its prime. It is old so it is short and tight but that also means that even a high handicapper can play from the tips and know that you are playing the course just like the old greats like Snead, Hogan, and Nelson did. The clubhouse and grounds ooze history and I felt honored to be able to play it. I played around Chistmas and the fairways and tees where still in great shape. The greens were very slow and hard to read because they were leaving them cut high, understandable given it was the middle of winter. This couse is a must playif your in Jacksonville and like history at all.

This is a nice challenging course. Plays long from the whites, blues, or blacks. Lots of interesting holes. One of the nicer courses in the area. Could be the best in the area if some of the details were attended to better.

This is a very nice course, well maintained. Has a good mix of challenging holes and the 27 hole layout allows you to play something different on each visit.
