Greens a bit thin in spots, otherwise great. Our foursome thoroughly enjoyed the round.

The course is in reasonable shape (fairways are nice) and not browning out yet. The greens putt fine, but look like they were just mown out of the fairway grass. I was in only one bunker (#14) but it was unplayable (looked like GUR). It was a great day and the course held my interest!

STAY AWAY! They have basically ruined Raptor with the "redesign" of 15, 16, 17 to allow room for their big new hotel. 15 is a so-so par 4, 16 is a sad crammed-in-there 100-yar par 3, and the teeth have been taken from 17 by shortening it from about 420 to 270 yards. How to take one of the better Phoenix-area courses and make it disappointingly poor at the finish. It is so sad, and I will no longer consider Grayhawk a course of choice.

Course is in overall great shape and very playable, some final touches need done following overseeding. Fairways & bunkers in great shape, greens need final mowing & should then be fast. Rough is very penal right now, I lost two balls in it during the round, not sure what the plans are for length going forward. Course layout is unchanged, I find it challenging but fun to play. The staff is very good and friendly. Plan to end by 2:00p or later to take advantage of happy hour drinks!
