First time playing here and disappointed to say the least.

Course layout is actually pretty good. Course conditions were just short of terrible. We have been here since Christmas Day and have had zero rain. By the amount of water on this course you would think it rained 10 inches over the past couple days. Every shot into the green you would leave craters and have a 1/4 inch of mud on your ball. Tee boxes - fairways etc are loaded with weeds.

I live in Florida and belong to a nice club in Ft Myers and no way would we have the greens in this condition. Hard for them to recover.

This isn’t a very nice review and they have earned it. Pace of play was ridiculous. 3 hrs for 9 holes. Quit after 9. They had a college tournament out in front of us and obviously the slow play started there. Club knowing this should never had booked tee times right up against the college. They had men on one course and ladies on the other. Why not put all the college kids off one course. Leave a buffer between them and the next group. Talked to the pro shop and they acted like this was ok. They actually put 2 threesomes together in front of us and the PA actually tried to justify doing this. An industry that constantly fights slow play and fights to keep from losing players, this type of mentality won’t help the cause. Here is the LPGA home course and you would think they would be in the fore front to fight this. Not the case by the Pro Shops mentality and attitude.

Restaurant ran out of food. Wanted to eat there after 9 holes before we headed home. Nope, couldn’t do that because they had no food.

Know I travel every week for business and I never complain about service because how hard it is to get staff etc. This wasn’t the issue at all. Very very poorly managed in all aspects.

First time playing but probably my last. Course needs lots of attention. First indication was the range balls we got had dirt and mud on the balls. Really you can’t clean balls.

Course had had lots of rain and that’s ok, but the course just needs lots of attention. Not marked very well, cart paths are terrible. They have never seen a blower out there. It’s March and leaves everywhere. Lots of bare spots in the rough. Just disappointed in the overall course conditions.

The staff was very friendly and courteous.

Nice layout, very friendly staff and pretty good pace of play. Played on a Sunday at 12:15 and finished in a little under 4 hrs.

Course was very wet and they had some tree damage from the Tornado that went thru 3 weeks ago. Greens were in pretty good shape. And everything would hold and stop, big ball marks because of the wetness. That being said it was not cart path only so that helped with the pace of play.

Would definitely play again.

This course could be 5 stars. Very fun and challenging layout. Lots of water on the course, I was fortunate to have only found one and it was basically because I did not know it was there. Couple holes the routing was goofy. On a par 3 you came almost all the way back to to the tee box to get to the next hole. On a couple par 4s had to back track and really need to pay attention to what other groups were doing.

Greens were very slow but putted true. Several greens had bare spots. Bunkers were in terrible shape but with all the rain guess we will give them a pass on that. Fairways were good.

Construction all over the course. In 5 years this place could be a gem.

Staff was very friendly and price was good.

When I saw the price I should have know something wasn’t right. Read the reviews and guess my expectations are differ t than others.

Let’s start with the positives. Staff was very friendly. No issues there.

Course is in need of some work. Greens are not in very good condition. Very rarely had a putt where you didn’t have to go thru a bare spot. They could have done a better job on putting the pins in areas where there was grass. Tee boxes weren’t much better. Fairways were not bad. Not sure of the water restrictions in the area but the course needs lots of water.

Not sure I am in a hurry to come back.

Haven’t played here in quite a few years. Terrific layout. Greens a little slow but very true. Course has recovered nicely since the Tornado. Staff extremely friendly.

Would recommend again.

Played this course on a Sunday afternoon as a twosome. Played in just a tad over 4 hrs. Busy course.

Front nine is extremely wide open. Not a lot of character to this nine. Back nine had some really nice holes. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The greens were in great shape. Tees and fairways are in decent shape for Jan.

Pretty good value for this time of year.

This is a great golf course. Can be very difficult because it is a target course and if you play it for the first time there are a lot of blind shots. Today I played for the first time and was extremely lucky on some of my shots. Buy the yardage book on download the course on an app. Course knowledge is imperative on this course. Also, make sure and play the proper Tee Boxes, this is one of those courses if you play it for the first time that you might want to consider playing one more forward.

The elevations on this course are incredible. The bunkers were in terrible shape, because of all the rain they had the previous week. Not uncommon for the bunkers to have 15’to20’ elevations to the green.

The greens were in very good shape, hard and fairly quick. Had been top dressed in the past week or so. But the putts rolled true.

I will definitely come back and play this course again.

Played this course in the afternoon with my wife. Played in 3 hrs. Course is in great shape, greens were excellent and staff was very friendly.

Course is not overly difficult. Very short. Only 6500 from the tips and wide fairways. Very hard to miss. Lots of water but never really came into play. Most of the holes are very straight and right in front of you

That’s the reason for the 3 stars just the course difficulty and not very many memorable holes.

This place does a great job from the moment you get there. Service is impeccable. They valet park your car, clubs are in the cart and waiting, bag drop, starter, rangers, cart staff all do a great job.

The course is a fun layout. Lots of water to navigate. The only issue were the greens had been aireated on Monday.

Would difinitely play again and recommend

They have done a great job of course conditions. The greens,tee boxes and fairways are excellent. Haven’t played here since last year. What they have done with the mounds and rough areas have added 10 shots to your score if you don’t drive the ball in the fairway. Good luck finding your ball.

Definitely a difference. Must play for the area.

Great conditions, fun layout. Night and day difference between front and back nine which make it a fun course to play.

Only negative for us was the clubhouse restaurant. The manager acted like it was an inconvenience to fix us some sandwiches. I asked if they had any ready made sandwiches and I got a look and an attitude. I'll chalk it up to a bad day, but other than that very happy.

Place just seems to be mismanaged. All kinds of issues with the Ttimes, not enough carts, no on course beverage service and the course was packed.

Staff was very friendly, and helpful but that didn't help with the frustration of t times being off because of no carts. Greens were in good condition but the rest of the course needs attention. Can tell they are still working thru the remenants of the hurricane in October and it is February and the course won't be perfect. Just glad we found a reasonable rate on GolfNow otherwise we wouldn't have been very happy.

This course has two completely different 9's. Front side is links and back 9 is more conventional.

Pay close attention to the tee boxes because they were definitely not as planned on the scorecard. My son plays the blacks and the rest of us played the blues. The blues played more like the blacks and there weren't any black tee markers. Course was wet and played long. Greens were average speed but don't be above the hole.

Course was in great shape and would highly recommend this course.

If you like seaside golf then you will love some of the golf holes out here. Beautiful scenic holes along the sound.

Course unfortunately is extremely short only 6100 yards from the tips. Course will be as tough as the wind is blowing. Several holes the wind was two club difference. There are a lot of holes where you need to pay attention to the 150 yard markers because past that there is trouble you can't see off the tee.

Definitely recommended this as a course to play when on the OBX.
