I am a local and play all of the public courses on the Emerald Coast. There are two that I really enjoy playing and will do so anytime I can snag a deal. Indian Bayou is a great combination of layout, conditioning, great practice facility and great service. The service starts when you pull into the parking lot and they bring a golf cart to you. Conditions were excellent. Good, quick tempo to the greens but I sure wish people would fix their ball marks. Play here. You will enjoy it.

I had not played here for over 20 years. I was looking forward to getting back to a familiar old course. It is 2023. Any course that charges over $100 for a round should have GPS on the carts. Another advantage of GPS is it allows the marshalls to monitor pace of play. Pace was not outrageous, but longer than it should be, a 5 hr round. Course conditions were fair. Greens were shaggy and slow. Many other choices in the area, I’ll wait another 20 years before I come back.

I enjoyed a relatively quick round at Legacy. 3.5 hrs for our threesome to complete the round. It is mid February so no growing has happened yet in spite of relatively warm temps. Greens are sparse but they are rolled and fast. Fairways are still dormant but a good grass baseline. Will be a totally different course in 2 months.

This is one of the 5-6 courses I play as a local. Really enjoyable round yesterday. Course is in great shape. Greens deep punched a couple of weeks ago but rolled true.

Played in a foursome and finished in 3:15. Course is in great shape right now. Dry conditions have sped things up considerably. Greens are fast and true.

This just was not a good experience. It started in the Pro Shop when I was told the the golfers I was paired with went off early. That put me as a single out in a course of full groups. I ended up playing through several twosomes. Asked for range balls in the Pro Shop, they were out. Went to the range and scraped together 10-15 range balls. Course was not in good shape. Greens were spotty with lots of sanded, bare spots. Sand traps had not been raked in quite a while. I wouldn’t expect GPS for what they charge, but cart towels or coolers would be nice. $20 would be a fair price for this course, but even at $20, I would not play it again.

Played Indian Bayou again today. It is usually one of the best maintained courses in the area. Played as a single and was supposed to be paired with a threesome. When I got to the first tee, the threesome had already teed off twenty minutes before our tee time. So, I played by myself. Played through the threesome and two other groups. Finished my 18 in about two hours. Greens had recently been deep punched but they rolled true as can be. Staff is always friendly, especially cart attendants and beverage cart ladies.

Played as a twosome today. Got paired up with someone and we played behind a threesome. During COVID, they let individuals have their own cart. Today, the starter had us share a cart. Had to wait a little on almost every shot but still finished in 4 hrs. A few bare spots in fairways since they haven’t fully grown in yet. Greens are pristine and roll great. Always a great place to play.

This course is a nice alternative to the crowded, overpriced courses in the Destin area. It is in great shape and has some great holes. Unfortunately, some are not as good. Maybe they just don't suit my eye or my game. Enjoyable round. Will probably play here again.

Had a great round today. Myself and another Golf Now booker played our 18 in 2 hours 15 minutes. Unheard of at noon on a Sunday. Course was in great shape. Fairways were lush and played it down all the way around. Greens were a bit slow but rolled true. Definitely a go-to, when the price is right.

I play this course frequently and have always enjoyed it. When I signed up for my tee time, the note said that it included a free gift of a sleeve of balls. When the option to pay online came up, I selected prepay which saved me an extra $5 or so for each of us. When I got to the course and asked about the sleeve of balls, I was told that was only valid if I paid for the round at the course. It was explained to me that this was an error by GolfNow and that the course has attempted to correct it. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if accurate information was presented on the site. Not a deal breaker and I will play the course again.

Love this course. Been playing it for years and it is one of my favorites in the area. We found out, on the first green, that the greens had been over seeded this week. They hadn’t been cut down yet and the rye grass was about half an inch high on the greens. The collars were an inch high. No mention of it in the reservation process or at the pro shop. Definitely sucked the joy out of playing and should not have been charged full price for this poor experience. Problem will be resolved as soon as they cut them down, but it ruined our day.

I played Emerald Bay for the third time this season. Great practice facility & clubhouse. Nice track with average to above average conditions. Course hasn't really greened up yet but was very playable. Greens rolled true with consistent speed. Pace was only downside and it wasn't terrible. four and a half hours for our foursome following a foursome of seniors following another foursome. Finally got a bit slower around # 16 but tolerable to wind up the day. Will likely make Emerald Bay my go to course for the summer.

Overall this is a nice golf course. I booked a Hot Deal online as the 4th of a foursome. When I got to the course, my group didn’t show so I was by myself. Played behind a twosome and took my time. They quit after 9 and I zipped through. 2.5 hours for 18. A couple of holes just didn’t suit my eye (180 yard uphill second shot from a downhill lie). The excellent greens made up for any other shortcomings. Subtle breaks with a few buried elephants. Rolled very true. Not lightening quick but good pace. Worth the 45 minute drive from the beach.

Nice place, great conditions. Friendly staff. They charge extra for range balls, but mine were comped by the pro. Thanks! Other reviews talk about the difficult layout. Totally agree. Toughest course I have played. Many forced carries, many blind shots. Several pin locations looked like they were not even on the green when viewed from the fairway. Many elevated greens with blind shots. Might get better, the more you play the course, but not typical for a resort type course.

Hot Deal of $30 for this really nice course. Luckily, I played with someone who had played the course before. Lots of hidden hazards and blind shots. Wonderful conditions, possibly the best greens I've ever played. Lush fairways, played it down. At home in FL, it would cost $100+ to play a course like this.

Fabulous course with beautiful layout. In good shape, played it down. Great value for the $. A bit crowded, brief wait on every tee and in most fairways but still played in 4:25. Not from the area but would definitely play again if near.

Great course, great weather. Nice track with 2 holes that go bayfront. Played in late February so conditions were a bit sketchy. Greens were nice. True roll even though they had just been lightly topdressed. Fairways had lots of bare spots with dormant grass. I know that conditions will improve as the weather gets warmer. Biggest highlight was pace of play. We played as a twosome and followed several foursomes so there was no need to play through, if anyone had offered. But, we still played 18 in less than 4 hours.
