This course is stunning! I have played quite a few mountain courses in the decades I’ve been coming here, but this one is special. It’s beautiful and challenging but without being unfair. You are rewarded for being in the fairway, but still allowed room to miss without having to dig back into the bag. There is a high level of risk reward. The greens were large and surprisingly flat making for a fun experience. I’ll be back!

This little course appears to be somewhat of a hidden gem. It’s rare to play a city owned and operated course in such good shape that poses a challenge to all skill levels. The layout is fun, while providing some tough holes. The greens were very receptive while still rolling fast and true. The value for this place is outstanding. That’s why I keep making the drive to come play.

I love this course! The staff is really great. The layout can be challenging but not punishing. The greens are in awesome shape, the fairways are super lush. It is the best kept course in town. You have a wide selection of tees to choose from and can accommodate the course to your level. The back tees challenge a longer hitter where you can play yellow or red tees and find a nice round awaiting. The Bermuda greens are fast down grain (as they should be) but roll true and you can hold them with a solid approach. I come back time and again. Always a joy to play.

I had head about this course from a friend. I finally got a chance to play it Friday, and what a pleasure! The staff was great, very friendly and helpful! The course was immaculate. Greens were fast and very receptive. A challenging layout the rewards shot making while not overly punishing an errant shot. Beautiful setting and layout. I will be back again soon!

I used to play here growing up. The course was challenging then, but the updates since changing it have made it close to unplayable. It's one thing the have hazards, but to have brush and natural growth areas off almost every fairway made the holes unforgiving. It felt as though a tee shot that missed a fairway wasn't a punishment but a death sentence. To miss a fairway almost meant a double bogey of lucky. In my opinion a missed fairway should mean you have to scramble to make a par, not scramble to your bag to find another ball. Plus the fairways have been reduced dramatically in width. I fancy myself a decent golfer, but this course was beyond tough. The greens were fast, but true, no issues there. They held well also. I probably will stay away in the future. It's a shame, because I loved this course as a junior. Sorry for the poor review, I just felt like I was looking for a challenge, and got a root canal.

I really enjoy playing here. The rates are very reasonable and the layout is challenging. I played from the tips both times I've played here and it proves to be a very fair test. I would recommend this course to golfers of any level. The Coty of Greenville has done a fantastic job of keeping this course in very good shape. I will be back!

What a nice course ticked off the beaten path near Jacksonville NC. The layout is fun, yet challenging. The greens have surprising amount of countor for a flat-land course. I found the round to challenge me from the tips yet seems to be fun for golfers of all levels. Good shots were rewarded, while errant shots could cost you strokes. I will play here again soon.

I've played most course in this area as I've been visiting family here for over 20 years. It is by far the nicest layout and the best keep facility in the area. It is challenging while still forgiving. The greens run true and the fairways are receptive. If you miss in spots you are duly punished but a well placed shot is almost always rewarded. I will play here again next time we visit.
