Tee area divots had been recently sanded, which is nice. Fairways and greens in good shape. they need a marshal. 4 some in front of us had at least 2 empty holes in front of them on 18. Odd layout doesn’t go by clubhouse on 10 on either course. They should let you know about that oddity when you check in.

Course has a lot of greenside bunkers, which would be ok if they had a decent amount of sand. They should be better maintained. Maybe that means reducing the number and/or size or make some so you could putt out of them. That would also improve the pace of play.

#15 has huge bunker opposite the green from restaurant and it has very little sand in it. Someone is going to skull a bunker shot into the window of the restaurant. Just a matter of time. I almost did yesterday and I’m not (normally) terrible out of bunkers. You just can’t lay the club open at all out of these bunkers. No bounce will work.

Course reminded me of the condition it was in 5-6 years ago. Dry and bare fairways. Love the layout and variety, but won’t play again until the fairways are in better shape.

Proof positive we need rain in Tucson. I have played the course 6-8 times over the last 5 years. Never seen it this dry. Not even close.

I really hope we get some rain so they can green it up before they loose some of the fairways.

That said, it’s a beautiful track.

Arizona National is one of my Tucson favorites. Well maintained, interesting layout. There are a couple of blind driving holes, but minor complaint.

Overall, very nice course.

Greens were very slow. Otherwise, course is in good shape and the only true desert muni in Tucson. Couple of forced carries that can be tough for seniors. Otherwise, a gem.

Greens had recently been verti-cut and were terribly slow and bumpy. No mention in GolfNow ad. Most courses give you an alert.

Still, an excellent, picturesque track and (other than greens) was in great shape.

Very strange how you have to wind back and forth to get to various 9's.

Have played here several times. Good variety of hole layout and bunkers are in decent shape. Greens in pretty good shape.

Like the course except for 18. Generally, courses end on a high note, like a par 5 or reasonable par 4. 18 is too tricky for my taste and it has ruined an otherwise good round more than once..... Just personal opinion.

Otherwise, it was a quick, enjoyable round.

Nice course and it is great that it has been brought back from the brink by current management. Fast greens in good conditions that rolll true.
