Rough conditions

I've played Rancocas a bunch of times through the years. Weekend rates are high but the weekday isn't too bad.
When I played, on a Sunday, the rough was far too long. Teeboxes were uneven and messy. Fairways and greens weren't too bad. Overall the conditions weren't very good unfortunately.
With that said I've become a bit loyal to Rancocas, despite the course being hit or miss. I'd recommend the course but only for the right price.

Decent course for the money

Rancocas is not the best course around the area but it's priced accordingly and you can't complain about that. I personally don't love the layout, especially the back 9, but again it's cheap and convenient.
I had a 9:40 tee time with my cousin. We got stuck behind a string of slow golfers but fortunately the weather was great. A third actually ended up joining us which was fine.
The conditions of the course were pretty well, especially for Rancocas. I recommend this course to anyone who just wants to get out for a few hours and not spend an arm and a leg.

Course is in Good shape

I went on a Thursday around noon with a buddy. We tried to get an earlier tee time but it was all booked. While parking we noticed the 1st and 2nd holes were pretty packed so we were in for a long day of golf.
The positives:
-Staff was extremely nice and cordial.
-Course was in good/great shape. There were a few burnt spots and some of the bunkers were flooded or full of hard sand. Overall, it was solid quality.
-The pace was slow in the beginning but eventually sped up.
-Water was available throughout the whole course starting on the 4th hole.

The negatives:
-As mentioned before there were a few bunkers that were not playable.
-Pace of play. Our tee time was for 11:57 and we didn't get to tee off until 12:07. We were a bit backed up until roughly the 9th hole. From there it opened up. I personally am a slow golfer so I didn't really mind the pace.
-The price was $50 which really isn't bad. For a weekday though I think it could be a little bit cheaper. This is being a bit picky perhaps.

Overall as you can see the positives far out-weighed the negatives. I've played this course plenty of times but it's been a while so I was really looking forward to it. The course didn't disappoint.

I absolutely recommend this course.

Very poor course conditions

A buddy and I went after 4:00 on a Wednesday for $26. That's an astronomically low price. With that being said, it's still a bit of stretch to say we got a "bang for our buck". We had no problems with the staff, and the pace was fine. My biggest complaint was the course itself; everything from the fairways, to bunkers, to the greens were in bad conditions. There were patches (some pretty large) of dirt/hard mud throughout the course. Some spots were so bad it was impossible to hit off of, even though you would be in the fairway. Many of the bunkers were also filled with water. It's a shame because I've played the course plenty of times throughout the years and this was by far my worst experience.
Would I go back again? Not this year. Perhaps down the road. I've seen the course in 10x better shape before so I haven't given up all hope. But I'd never pay $50+ bucks to play Ramblewood, which is their rate for certain days and times. It would be "deal or bust" for me, personally.
