Ok course - can't hit driver on range

I guess I t's worth the drive if you live within 45 mins but wouldn't recommend the course if you are driving further then that. Not super challenging but it's in pretty decent shape. A few of the holes were fun but not sure if I'd play there again. Can't hit driver on the driving range so don't expect to practice with it before your round.

Unbelievable course

Course was in perfect condition when I played (last week of October). The course is absolutely beautiful. It was a fun course but a challenging course at the same time. It makes you pay for errant drives as you can easily go OB on a few holes or end up in rough which is pretty thick. If you are ever are in the area or staying at the resort you have to play here. Since I played on a weekday during the fall I was able to finish both rounds in under 3 hours. Advice for hole 8: DON'T miss right. It doesn't seem like it from the tee but you will be wet if you miss by more than a yard to the right. If anything leave it short because the bunker on the left is tough.

Course is in great shape

Challenging but fun course that is in great shape. I love a good challenge and this course definitely makes you think about what club to use off of the tee. Some of the holes made you pay with a bad tee shot to where you would have to hit a pretty big fade/slice on your 2nd to have a shot at the green or you would just have to hit high over the trees. A must play course in the area. It is always packed because it is one of the best courses in the area so it will take you a good 4 and a half hours to play. The only problem I had with the course is there were a few hole placements on the greens where if you didn't make the putt it would roll back to you and I didn't like that. The greens ate me alive (especially the back 9) as I am not a good putter so if you hate tough greens this isn't the course for you.

It's a fun muni course

You get what you pay for. It's a fun course that has some challenging holes. Chipping is pretty easy as there isn't really any rough. I felt like the greens were different speeds but maybe that's because I suck at putting. Not dying to play there again but worth a trip if you don't want something too expensive or if you have a buddy that lives in the area.

You get what you pay for

Fun course that challenges you with water and narrow fairways but if you drive it straight you can shoot a low score as I've had my two best rounds of the year at this course. Some of the greens have obvious and huge spots. It's not s beautiful course at all but it does the trick. Pace of play has always been good for me but I don't go during prime times. Just drive the ball straight or else you will have a long day as it's easy to go OB into someone's back yard.

A little overpriced but a fun course

Course was in ok shape. Granted I did play when they were aerating the greens but I'm not dinging them for that as I knew about that before I booked the tee time. Bunkers don't drain well and most were in pretty bad shape. All that being said it was overpriced and I got it with a special. Some of the holes are really fun though and provided a good challenge. Look through the trees to the right of the teebox on hole 17 and across the water and you might get lucky like me and get to see two bald eagles.

Greens are in bad shape

The greens on the front 9 were the worst greens in Hampton Roads but the greens on the back 9 resembled a respectable golf course. Fun course though as a few of the holes had water in play (or a small creek you didn't see when you were teeing off) and lots of trees that made you hit a good tee shot. Doesn't play really long. I just think the course is overpriced for the conditions of the greens. Might be better now but who knows.
