Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club
Played On 04/09/2021Awesome layout, not sure what all the negative reviews are
My wife and played this course for the first time and it quickly became one of our favorites in the area. The layout is incredible, each hole is very unique and challenging. You want fast greens, well you have them here. All these negative reviews had me nervous but if you go not expecting meticulous conditions you will not be disappointed, we aren’t in Augusta.. The tee boxes were great, traps were really good, greens crazy fast, and fairways were not nearly as bad as some other reviews say. Could it use water, sure, what course couldn’t, is it a cow pasture, absolutions not! Water plays on virtually every hole and plenty of undulations. This is a very fun course and if your not a golf snob, you will most definitely enjoy it. We will most certainly be back.
Twin Isles Country Club
Played On 11/21/2020Outstanding value and great overall condition
I have to say, not sure what the other reviewers saying the course is not not that good are cause my wife and I loved it! Overall a beautiful course and not crowded at all for our afternoon round. At the current rate, I’m not sure there is a better value anywhere nearby. We are visiting from out of state and thought we would give the course a try as it was only 30 minutes away and we will definitely be back. Greens were amazing, not a bad one out there and rolled very true. Tee boxes and fairways were also in great shape, grass was cut perfect and did not need to improve a lie. Beautifully landscaped and plenty of bathrooms on the course. Each hole was unique in that No two were the same, doglegs right, doglegs left, straight, plenty of water and bunkers to challenge you. I would say this is a must play if in the area. And no, I am not a member or have any ties to this course. Just an avid golfer providing my opinion to help other decide whether to play. Get out and play it, you will not be disappointed.
Babcock National
Played On 02/14/2020Beautiful NEW 18 hole, par 72 course, a definite must play!
We played this course on the first day it opened, 2/14/2020. This full sized course has nice wide fairways that are in perfect condition. Greens are large and firm as well as roll very true. This is a must play and an excellent value. Since the course just opened, the clubhouse hasn’t been built yet and they are operating out of a nice temporary trailer. Because of this, they currently have no food or beverages however they are currently allowing you to bring your own cooler!
Marlton Golf Club
Played On 11/15/2015Not bad for price, greens could use some work
I have golfed Marlton many times as its the closest course to home. Overall its a fun course to play, fairly short, but still fun. They have improved the tee boxes and sand traps tremendously in the last few months, now they need to focus on the greens. Some of them are just in poor shape while others roll true and are in great shape. Again though, not a bad course for less than $40 give the other choices around. Hotdog at the snack shop was good :-).
Lake Presidential Golf Club
Played On 09/07/2015Great layout, so so condition
I have played here in the past and the course then was in outstanding shape. Cant say the same for yesterday (9/7/15), some tee boxes were bad, fairways were decent on most holes, greens had been aerated, so they were a bit bouncy but coming back. The sand bunkers were well kept as well. the rough was exactly that, rough and spotty. The driving range and chipping green were not in the best of shape either. Overall, not satisfied with the conditions, but a fun round at that. Not worth the full rate, find a deal and makes it worth while. Hopefully they get this course back to the condition it once was. Oh, and they no longer have GPS in the carts, not sure why they removed them but thought I would mention it.
Dear Golfer,
Thanks for the honest feedback. July and August were challenging months for certain tee boxes, some landing areas in our fairways and also our grass driving range. I'm happy to report that an aggressive agronomic plan is producing positive results and our feedback has been entirely positive.
Hope to see you at LPGC soon!

Greens are good but slow. Its the other grass thats poor. Green weeds does NOT mean grass. Tee boxes are green weeds/clover/mixed junk seed which has taken over the natural bermuda grass. Visitors & member snowbirds don't want to shovel snow so anything and i mean anything is acceptable to them. To real golfers who live here full time, its a cow pasture and extremely disappointed.
