Stonecreek Golf Club
Played On 09/21/2017Typical StoneCreek Day
I've played this course over 250 times over the years ( yes I live close by). It rarely changes. Greens are Great, and they do have really green fairways (because they water alot). Be prepared to have mud on your shoes and you will get several muddy lies.
Overall just another Great Phoenix Course that you can play with ease.
Palmbrook Golf Club
Played On 04/06/2014A tale of 2 courses
After playing the first couple of holes, I said to myself that this course was like every other Sun City course that I have played. The first hole mirrors the first hole at Union Hill C.C. (straight par 4, driving range on the right, trees and houses on the left).
But was I surprised when we made the turn to the 10th hole. Water was in play on just about all of the holes. It was like playing a totally new course.
Try - you will enjoy it.
Legend at Arrowhead, The
Played On 03/02/2014Great Course
Since we were first off, we played at speed. This round was played the day after the greater Phoenix area had received almost 2" of rain. The course was very wet. It was cart path only for most of the round. All low lying areas, were filled and the ducks were having a ball. Even though we had rain the previous day, the greens were relatively fast.
Verrado Golf Club - Founders Course
Played On 9/15/2013You can't go wrong at a Raven Course
As the summary says, the 2 Raven courses here in the greater Phoenix area, are always maintained. They provide a great golf experience. The Raven at Verrado, is a typical desert course. It winds thru the southern portion of the White Tank mountains in the west valley which give you spectacular views of the valley.
Corte Bella Golf Club
Played On 8/25/2013Modern day resort course
In summer in Arizona, round prices usually plummet. High price courses can be played at city course rates and Corte Bella is a great resort course. It was raining this day, but the course played quite well. The bunkers were pretty wet and I assume that they would be in great condition when dry.
Great pace of play and worth every dollar.
Kokopelli Golf Course
Played On 4/21/2013One of the few under $50 for weekend play
Course was in good condition. Even though we were a 3 some, it still took 4 hrs to complete the round due to catching up to a tournament that was scheduled. Waited 40 min on the last 2 holes.
Sun City Country Club
Played On 3/17/2013Orginal Country Club course
Being the first Sun City course, it has mature look. Lots of big trees and challenging greens. Plenty of Dog leg holes, forces you to hit different shots.
The Legacy Golf Club
Played On 11/21/2012Like Playing a brand new course
We were fortunate to be able to play as the second group off the tee that Legacy allowed @ 90 degrees after over seeding. The course was in excellent shape. The greens were true and fast as they usually are at Legacy.
Riverview Golf Course
Played On 9/16/2012Poor course planning
I had booked a twosome. At the course (which was quite full) we were paired with a three some. This resulted in a very long morning.
Thank you for your recommendation. I am glad you enjoyed yourself!
