Last year I had to take away a start due to course conditions. My hope was that they would be back to standard this year and they were. Both courses at Jacaranda have amazing staff. This is all around from the bag drop , pro shop, starters, kitchen. It is a testament to the management that staff is that happy working on Christmas Eve and Day. In the 4 years I have been playing over the holidays at this course I haven't had a bad word to say about staff.

The East course is a fun course that brings in water and strategic bunkering into play on many holes. There are holes where you have to think from the green backwards if you want to give yourself the best chance to score as some pins can be hard to get at from the wrong side of the fairway. The greens are in great shape and have enough speed and undulation to make you have to read them well. I always consider Jacaranda a "home club" in Florida and would have no problem playing there elusively as it provides a great test of golf in a phenomenal atmosphere.

The West is my favourite of the two courses. The raised greens on many holes give it an older feel. The course is not overly long but you have to think your way around it. There is lots of risk reward that makes this course fun each time you play it. The greens are in great shape and are receptive to good shots but will not automatically accept bad shots. The closing stretch can make or break a round. Every detail is well looked after on the course and it is a pleasure to play.

Played this course the last few years and it has had a major drop off in conditions. The greens are in rough shape and slow. The greens have lots of contours and are fun when fast and you can use slopes to get at pins. Tee blocks are iffy in spots and some fairways could use some TLC.
They had a group of about 20 go out before us (at 7:48). They seemed to tee off at about 7:30 and it created a very slow round.
Hopefully just a bad couple of months and the course will return to what I have experienced in the past.

The course was saturated after rains. It was a tough day to judge the course. The layout was nice and made you think on a number of shots of risk/reward. The greens were true but slower than normal. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'd give it another try when it was drier.

Course we play every year around Christmas. Seems like conditions have worsened in last 12 month's. Some dead spots in fairways, a lack of sand in bunkers and way to many ball mark dead spots on greens. Staff is friendly and the layout is fun.

Played this course a few years ago and staff was awful. Decently fun and well maintained course though so we went back. We were the second group of the day out and they put a 5 some out ahead of us. Staff friendliness was slightly better but still the worst of any course around by a mile. Course is in good shape.

My experience at this course was fine other than the staff. I went in to get my water bottle refilled after 9 holes and asked the staff if they could refill it. The response was "you can fill it up in the bathroom". Warm bathroom sink water that had a motion activated tap. How hard is it to fill a water bottle. The other issue was that the greens had just been top dressed and were not whisked off at all. This was never relayed to us otherwise we probably would have booked for another day.

Jacaranda is my favourite spot in south Florida. We are Canadian and go down for Christmas every year. We play Jacaranda Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (this year we got an extra round on the 26th).
The staff at Jacaranda cannot do enough for you. They are always the best we deal with in south Florida. The proshop staff are great at getting you set up. The bag drop is always accommodating (they let us leave our clubs between rounds). Jacaranda is one of the few courses that you can get a coffee and bite to eat before teeing off. I don't understand why this isn't normal in south florida.
The west course had some dead areas on the green. This is not usual for this course and I hope it is a blip and not the beginning of a pattern. The west course provides a course you need to think your way around with a number of well placed bunkers and tempting dog legs. I play with my dad and he favours the East Course and I favour the west. Both are great and I look forward to rating them back at 5 stars next year.

The East course we played twice this year. The conditions were not up to what I expect from Jacaranda (some dead spot in the fairway and the bunkers could use a some new sand). Overall the course is in good shape and is a fun courses. The East course is a pretty straight forward track that doesn't require a lot of thought to get around but you need some touch around the greens. I hope the conditions are a blip and not the beginning of a trend because I love the place.

Second time playing this course. Played it at the same time last year. It is a fun course with interesting challenges and a variety of holes. The greens have some severe undulation that allows you to be really creative around them. The conditions were not the best. Ground seems very hard in spots and spongy in other spots. Overall ok but there is better value for your $$ in the area.

This was our second time playing Plantation. We played the same time last year. This has joined Jacaranda as a must play in the area. The staff are very friendly (they even helped us get coffee before our 7am tee off time). The course is in great condition. The greens were a little sandy and slow. We played in a consistent 35km/h wind and the course was still a lot of fun. We will be back.

Friendly staff at the proshop got us going. We were out at 7:14 so pace of play wasnt an issue. 5 tee decks to play from. Course was in great shape. Greens are undulating and have lots of character (but people need to fix ball marks better). Great mix of holes that are risk/reward, dog legs, straight. Only downside is there was coffee and breakfast available and it took about 5 minutes after our round to find someone at the bar to get a beer. Overall very enjoyable and will visit again.

This was a great course. It had enough to make you think your way around it. A few forced carries, dog legs and tiered greens made a fun challenge. The conditions were pristine and the greens rolled great (if a shade slow). Sitting at the 19th hole watching people attempt to make a second shot to the island green was great. Only complaint was they didn't have somewhere to get a coffee and muffin before our tee off time. A must play in the area.

I love Jacaranda (both courses). We played here two years ago and it was a favourite and I was worried I would be let down by memory. I was not. These courses make you feel welcome by every staff member. The West course was in perfect shape and is a fun mix of holes that makes you think about your game.

This course has the friendliest staff in my mind. They always make you feel welcome and let you know where to go for coffee, range, starter. The East course is more of a bombers course but is still great fun. The greens were a little pitch marked and the bunkers are in need of an update. If I was to live in the area I would always be at this facility and can't wait to return next Christmas.

The course was good and a fun track. The cart barn staff that helped us when we arrived and the server at the 19th were great. The proshop staff was not helpful at all. We were the first group out and they were moving and watering the green on literally every hole we played. They need to go from 18-1 not 1-18. Better courses in the area.

I have to start with the staff because they were so bad. From the time we arrived I was taken shocked at how little the staff wanted to help. The gentleman inside checking us in was very rude. After saying our tee time and group I asked for a bucket of range balls- without asking he sold me the largest bucket -and the range didn't even open until after our tee time. The starter was not super helpful in where to go to get something for breakfast or coffee, or to point out the chipping green. When I went looking for the range and asked an employee where to find balls they looked at me like I had two heads. Then treated me like an idiot when the said it did not open until 7:30. When we were done our round and went into the 19th hole for a beer the lady there was no friendlier.
The staff really lowered my enjoyment of what was a unique and beautiful course for that part of Florida.

There is no bag drop area, we were the first group and there was no coffee or breakfast available until 11am. The starter was rude and they had split tees for the first two hours. I have never seen 2 hour split tees, 1.5 hours is fine but the initial groups are done well before 2 hours then have to wait. While waiting there was nothing to eat and really nowhere to wait. The course itself was a nice test, if you got in trouble you could put up a big number in a hurry trying to get out of a mess of banyan trees. Would like to go back and try the other course but wouldn't pay any money to this course due to the unfriendly, unhelpful staff.

Always a great experience playing a TPC Course. We were one of the first groups and shockingly there was no food or coffee available. The range was great and the putting green was true to the course. The course itself was wonderful and fun. There was a number of holes where you need to think about where you want to leave yourself for the next shot. Hopefully you don't need a par coming home as the wind is blowing at you on a long par 4. Staff was very friendly.

We played one of the first groups out. No food or coffee available. The course was fine, a few bare spots but the greens were in good shape. Nothing memorable about this course. If you are heading to Florida for a few rounds this might be a good first course to get loose before playing some of the nicer area courses like Jacaranda.
