Butterfield Trail Golf Club
Played On 03/12/2023Nice layout but needs maintenance
Looks like a once great course with a nice layout. The bunkers are terrible. They are crusty. Unable to splash sand. Some are dirt with a few weeds in them. Others are just so rock hard. I didn't see a proper bunker on the entire course. The greens are fast with their share of bad spots, but need aerification. The general areas are hard. You will get a lot of roll and tight lies everywhere. Hopefully will get much needed maintenance and green up in the coming months, but I won't be back anytime soon to find out.

Tee boxes - good shape, but would like to see each of the tees painted a solid color cause you could accidentally tee off from the wrong ones the way they are now. Fairways - good shape. Bunkers - numerous, some were nice and sandy, others haven't seen a rake in a good bit w/sand lacking and a bit of grass growing through, i understand its hard to maintain a lot of bunkers. Greens - average speed; if they were rolled and cut, then better. Staff was friendly. Will play again.
Jimmy Clay Golf Course
Played On 09/14/2022Good layout with slow greens
Greens were grainy and slow, but fair. Everything else was good.
Jimmy Clay Golf Course
Played On 09/14/2022Good layout in decent shape
Greens are slower than most, but fair. Bunkers are average with other courses at this price point. Nice layout. Like that it's pet friendly. No complaints about today's experience.
Hills of Cove Golf Course
Played On 12/21/2020Worth playing at the right price
Copperas Cove GC is in the best shape I've seen it in the past 10 years. It's worth playing if a deal can be had. Pace of play is 3-4 hours. Front 9 is easier and wide open to get you warmed up for a much tougher back 9. Greens are much improved. Fun course but not a must play.
Forest Creek Golf Club
Played On 01/02/2020Nice greens and layout
Only areas of suggested improvement would be player driven. Two to a cart, fix/fill divots, and observe 90 rule when posted. This would decrease wear of the course. Bunkers and greens are nice. Fairways above average. Great layout that requires good club selection and placement on many holes. For the intermediate and better golfers. Friendly staff.
Squaw Valley Golf Course - Comanche Lakes Course
Played On 10/08/2019Course is above average, but not as good as the links side, due to condition of bunkers. Quite a few bunkers are labeled Ground Under Repair (good move), some are transforming towards grass bunkers?, some are dirt more than sand, and some are good to go...so its a mix. The fairways have nice areas and areas thin on grass, but not bare dirt. Greens are nice! Course layout is excellent! We played both courses (36 holes) back to back. We were held up by a slow group on 1st 18 and by the time we got done in 4 hours, our foursome wanted to grab a quick bite, but couldn't because we were told "golfnow tee times are special, these tee times dont belong to the course, and couldnt be delayed"...i got the impression that there is zero flexibility because we got a good deal. Could they have said go ahead, then we could tee off at the next available time, while also making money at the snack bar? Of course! Also, there is no drinking fountains or water on the course.
Squaw Valley Golf Course - Apache Links Course
Played On 10/08/2019Course in nice shape from tee to green. Penalty areas well marked. Especially like the smooth, fast greens with sections divided by ridges and lot of personality. Starter was especially friendly and thanked us for coming out. Only downside was no water coolers or drinking fountains on the course. The front 9 is wide open with mounds lining the left and right sides of fairways and a sneaky bunker of two can catch you off guard if gone unnoticed. The back 9 is less links-like but a fun change. Took us 4 hours for a foursome because of a threesome in front of us being a bit slow.
Legacy Hills Golf Club
Played On 12/26/2019Nice layout but not peak conditions
Played course over a dozen times. Fairways overly firm to where lots of shots are struck thin cause ground is hard. Can tell this is due to heavy cart traffic and needs punching. Greens are firm and fast. Always a nice layout. Crowded today, but most people are seniors and quit after 9 holes. Tee areas and bunkers are pretty good. Winter dormant. Expecting it to come back to it's old self in the spring, especially if punched and aerated.
