I played this course a few years back. I did not remember very much of it (that's saying something as I remember most holes on good courses even after a period of time), but I enjoyed it. For some reasons there are a few fairways that are not overseeded and they have been painted, yes *painted*. I found the greens fast and tough to play and read, a very good challenge.

I’ve played this course a few times over the years and always loved it. It was slow because of first tee program and cart path only because of overseeding. We saw a couple of families of javalinas on 16. Greens were nice. Though a shade long, little break, but it was still fine.

Always a treat to play this course. There was a members' event in front of us that finished after 9. The starter let us know as did the marshal. Really appreciated that.

This is a great layout. Eighteenth hole always seems odd to me. Really should be a par 6 not a par 5. Greens were quick and true. Lots of poa annua but It putted well. This is not the most manicured course but it is certainly worth the fees as asked.

Send Ignacio never disappoints. An interesting track was a beautiful holes. Highly recommend it.

Warkworth is a lovely course. It has a few very challenging holes and like most courses, has a few beautiful holes. If you get this for under $35 with a cart, take it. Totally worth the money.

This course was a very pleasant surprise. They have over-seeded the tees and greens - the fairways are dormant light brown. It is a very appealing look.

The greens are spectacular. They roll true and there was not a green that was not in A1 shape.

The big drawback here is pace of play. I teed off at 1:00pm on Dec 23. There were twosomes in front of our twosome and the play was very very slow. I left the course after 9 (paid for 18) as the play was 2.5 hrs to that point.

They need a marshalling presence on the course, but I was told that they are cutting back expenses. Penny wise, pound foolish. If I had paid a full fee, I'd be annoyed. As I got a hot deal, I was OK with leaving after 9. I certainly would never pay full rates here as it seems that pace of play is a common complaint.

Rio Rico has been in the same condition for 3 years now and calling it rustic would be generous. It is a fabulous track, but it needs a bunch of money thrown at it. The new management company seems to be doing some things (like watering the greens), but the greens are currently in very poor condition. Bunkers are pretty good and most fairways are just OK. The aesthetic of cart paths, fairway delineation etc is non-existent.

If you can get a round here for less than $20, I think it is worth it. I am happy to pay $20 to play this great track. I have played it 3 years in a row for this price, and I'd go back again. Cheaper than a couple of buckets of balls. But Rio Rico is currently not worth more than $20.
