This used to be a beautiful and well manicured course. Today, it was in poor conditions. The greens were a mixture of sand , dirt and grass. They were very slow. The fairways were awful and badly maintained. The water makes the course challenging normally, but bad maintenance made playing both difficult and lacking in enjoyment.

This is my third time playing this course. I like the layout and the course is good to tune up one's short game. I was disappointed that the fairways and greens were in such bad condition.

This course is extremely challenging with its large greens which are mostly upraised. Because the course is open and can be very windy,. sometimes it is necessary to go up two extra clubs in order to reach the greens from the well manicured fairways.
I am an 8 handicap player, yet on this particular course I often fight to break 90!

The course was very wet. As a result it was cart paths only. The fairways are very wide and it was very tiring to have to walk to the center of the fairways with several clubs because the GPS was on the cart, far away. The greens were large and fast and although it was wet the ball still ran away if you did not select the right club.It made the round more tiring in the 88 degree heat.
I would like to play the course when it is dry and I can drive up to the ball.

I enjoy playing this course now because it is so challenging to me personally. However, the greens are too undulating and the pin placements are in the most difficult corners of the greens. If it is a windy day, it is impossible to break 50 on the back nine.
It is now becoming noticeable, that the old grass and some ants nest from the old Arrowhead Course, are begining to come to the surface.

This is a historic Course with an interesting old-style layout. Several of the greens are elevated and that makes keeping approach shots on board difficult. The course needs to be kept better. The grass in the rough was very high.
