I remembered playing this course approx 10 years ago, and it was great. Conditions now are poor, especially the back nine. Bare dirt patches on the fairways, poor trap upkeep. I thought that it was going to be a great deal for $60, but I overpaid for what I got. Not what it used to be.

I have played this course on vacation for the past 20 years. It used to be good, went into a swoon of poor conditions, and has had a resurgence this year.
It has new ownership and is looking A LOT better than last year. Greens are filled in and putting smoothly. Tees with significant improvement in condition, and fairways are healthy. New sand in every bunker. Needs some time to settle, but will be very good.
Kudos to the new super. Great job so far.

I have played this course since it opened in 1989.
It has had a gradual decline in conditioning over the years. It is still a fun layout to play, but conditions were average at best.
The fairways were decent, but when you got to the greens, many of them had one third of the surface covered with brown grass or dirt. Despite this they actually putted pretty consistently, just plain slow. I assume that they keep the putting surfaces long, just to make growing/repairing the greens easier.
The fairway bunkers all need work. they are mostly bare with rocks. Greenside bunkers were better, but need more sand in them. Often you were hitting from dirt or mud.
On the upside, staff was very friendly and pace of play early in the day was fast. Lots of water hazards and lots of wildlife to view. Course layout is challenging, with nice yardage variation on the par threes. Many different types of shots that you have to hit.
Value for the money is excellent.
If they ever put some money into the course and got it into decent shape, it would be a real treat to play.
Overall, a decent track in poor shape, good value.
