Green Valley Country Club

Slow pace of play, no Marshall. Front nine we waited on every tee box. Very fast greens. Fairways and rough were thin. Dormant Bermuda ???
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 12/12/2017A remote gem.
Excellent conditions, fast greens. Nice elevation changes unlike the typical flat Florida courses. Beautiful setting, you won't be disappointed.
Mount Dora Golf Club
Played On 03/24/2017Good find
The greens looked shaggy and slow but were good paced and consistent. Nice layout with good elevation changes. Not a meticulously groomed high end course but overall in good shape, especially in the middle of a drought . I played in the morning for under $20. Consider that a great deal for this course. Will play it again.
Clerbrook Golf & RV Resort
Played On 03/20/2017Tight course.
Ok overall course but bring your straight ball. Lots of water on some holes. Important to plan your strategy on certain holes as ball placement may be more important than distance.
Placid Lakes Country Club
Played On 02/24/2017Nice owner, friendly staff. Good layout. All it lacks is fertilizer, water and weed killer but try it. I still enjoyed it.
Azalea City Golf Course
Played On 10/24/2016Well cared for
Nice layout, excellent greens, friendly staff who appear to genuinely care about their course. I played by myself at 12:44 with no one behind me and a couple in front of me who played fast and only played 9, so my pace of play was whatever I wanted it to be !
Lake Forest Golf Club
Played On 03/23/2016Nice layout
The designer did a great job of using the natural contours of the land to build a wonderful layout. Although it winds through a housing development the fairways are lined by trees not houses. Wide fairways. Nice elevation changes. Although not fast the greens are fast enough and soft enough to be receptive. Liked the course very much and will play it again the next time I'm in town.
The Golf Club at Bluewater Bay
Played On 03/11/2016Good course but dormant greens and fairways
Overall this is a nice course. I just arrived here from SW Florida and am amazed as to how dormant it is here despite the pleasant weather.Because they apparently don't overseed the fairway grass is thin not lush and the greens are hard and lightning fast.Nothing green yet. I would guess the course is much better in the summer. Still I enjoyed it and would play it again. One of the three 9's is a good distance from the clubhouse and needs better directional signs for the first time user.
Lake Wales Country Club
Played On 02/06/2015Windy
Played on a windy day which made the course much more demanding that it normally would be. Wide enough fairways that there is not a lot of trouble from tee to green.Sand in good shape. The Bermuda was dormant so very tight lies in the fairway and around the greens. Once you reach the greens, that's where the fun begins. The greens are fast with lots of break, both obvious and subtle. It took me a long time to get comfortable with " reads" of the greens. Great difference in speed with subtle downhill versus up hill puts.Would like to play it again on a calm day.
The Plantation Golf Club - Cranes Roost Course
Played On 3/25/2013Nice course
Considering the drought, the course is in great shape. Nice variety of wide open and tight fairways. Especially with the Golfnow discounts, it's a bargain.
St. James Bay Golf Club

Very nice course, challenging but fair. Bring your A game and you can score well. On the other hand,if you are spraying the ball, bring a dozen. They had just aerated and sanded the greens, yet they still putted well. Some forced carries,Great sand, attractive setting, I really liked this course.
Thanks for coming out and playing at Bluewater! We hope to see you again soon!
