Target Golf In The Woods

It’s probably worth playing once, but I can’t see more than that given the layout, course conditions and price. The course designer really, really likes hard directional turns and blind shots. It felt like they were trying to fit the course into the space they had, driving range included because it’s irons only out there.

For $159, there are better places

Course was in dire need of a sprinkler being turned on. Most of the holes were good, but a few literally have no bailout where you don’t then have a super challenging short sided shot as a result. Would play again for half the price. It’s ok, just not worth the money.

Pricey But Nice

With range balls and greens fees I was into it for $116. I’ve played courses just as nice with balls included for $80. Aside from that, the kitchen/bar staff was great and it was a nice day out.

For the course staff, the bag drop guy told me to head to the first tee 23 minutes early out of nowhere but thankfully I had already hit range balls and about 6 putts. The starter and rangers were ok, but at times were approaching ridiculous when asking us to speed up. Our 4-some turned 18 in 4 hours and 6 minutes including a 13 minute stop at the turn. It wasn’t our fault the 2-some behind us was always waiting all the time and we offered to let them play through twice which they declined but still complained to the rangers about waiting.

Would I play it again, sure. But only after playing 10 other places just as nice and more reasonably priced.

Good for the right golfer

Staff is great. Course is in municipal condition and in very rough shape in spots (9th green is mostly dirt). Definitely does not look like the website photos. Pace of play was bad enough that we left at the 11th tee when it was clear the back nine was going to take 3 hours to play. Lots of players who had trouble getting the ball out there beyond 50 yards per swing. Multiply that by the slow walking and 6 practice swings per shot we observed, we waited an average of 7 minutes per shot we played. Would play it again if I had 6 hours to kill and it cost $9 with a cart. $53 is not reasonable for the course condition or pace of play. Lesson learned for me, but if that’s your thing then tee it up!

Playable for almost all abilities

I played with my father in-law and the course is well suited for teeing it forward or playing the blacks if you want more of a challenge. The course was in very good shape overall and the staff was great, especially the starter. Some of the pin positions were brutal if you are on the wrong side of the undulations and you can end up with 10 - 12 ft putts back up a hill... but I made all 3 so I forgave this quite easily today. Would 100% play here again.
