Had course to myself on Saturday morning and early afternoon. Got right off and nobody on course.
Had a hotdog and chips after. Bar maid very nice and helpful.
El Rio Golf Club
Played On 06/29/2023Greens getting aerated so they are slow right now.
Fun course to play. If you slice, the trouble is on the right by design. Hit a straight ball and you can avoid the water hazards.

This is a hidden gem. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were perfect. It is a difficult course if one has a short game issue. Water and sand traps everywhere make this a challenging course and requites accuracy to score well. Great for a short game but has a few par 5 to bring out the drivers l.

We had a wonderful time on the course. The course is very well kept. The greens are fast but predictable as they play true. Bring lots of balls as you will lose a few. The staff was super nice. I will be back again.

Great shape after previous nights rains. Ice water was available. Pace of play was perfect. Enjoyed the course. Keep up the great work. Will play again. It’s a hidden gem.

Played this course in 2 1/2 hrs. Was very hot but they had ice water at several spots. Most greens and fairways were good and well kept. Used 4 or 5 iron off the tees and wedge and putter. You really don’t need a driver or anything else.

Layout is challenging. I lost a lot of balls in the lakes. Only concern I have are the fire ant mounds on tees and greens. Get an exterminator soon.

This course is impeccably maintained. Pace of play was fast but leisurely. Staff was very friendly and helpful A joy to play here. The course plays long and wide open so didn’t lose too many balls
Cape Royal Golf Club - Queen/King

Wonderful staff. They actually brought the golf cart to me in the parking lot. Staff was mindful of social distancing and followed their guidelines.
The course was badly in need of watering as the fairways were brown. Greens were fast and flags had foam noodle around them.
Happy with pace of play. Didn’t have to wait to tee off.

Fun course; difficult with plenty of water and traps. Did not find any rakes to use after trap shots.

Greens are well kept, rolled and true. Putting was predictable and fast.

Plays well in summer. Staff was nice and honored the Golf Now Special. Was very hot day but they had plenty of ice water on course.

Overall a very nice course in Cape Coral. Staff was very friendly. Only complaint was a ranger is needed to move along slow players looking for balls etc. We were in a rush to get 18 holes in before dark at 5:30pm teeing off at 1;30 didn't leave any time for food on the turn or slow play. A few groups ahead of us were slow due to a really slow group in front of them 3 groups ahead.

Had a great time. I'm a lousy golfer but enjoy
it. Lots of water and sand traps make this course
very difficult. Greens are fast so accuracy and
good putting are essential. I lost 5 balls in the
lakes.
