Devil's Ridge Golf Club
Played On 05/22/2017A day at Devils Ridge
Although the course was a little damp from a string of rainy days, everyone in our group of 12 thoroughly enjoyed our round at Devils Ridge. It is very scenic, very very hilly and very challenging. The price the Monday that we played was fabulous. Nice clubhouse and friendly staff and I would recommend a visit to anyone.

From our arrival at the course the day was excellent. The staff were very friendly and receptive. The course was in excellent condition considering that portions of it were under water 2 weeks ago. The pace of play was fantastic, we were done in 3 hours and 30 minutes. I would recommend this to anyone.
Wardsville Golf Club - Simon
Played On 06/29/2015Wardsville on a quiet Monday!
We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent conditions when you considered the amount of rain we have had recently. The fairways were excellent, the rough was challenging in many places. The greens were a little slower than other area courses, but the rolled true. The four of us played in just over 3 hours, and we were able to play the 3rd nine for just the cost of the power carts or $7.50. The staff was very friendly and I would recommend this course to golfers of any skill level. Overall, an excellent day!
awesome glad you enjoyed it and provided a favorable review. Yes getting around quick at Wardsville to finish 18 holes is usual/par for this "country" course! Come back soon
Sawmill Creek Golf Resort & Spa
Played On 06/24/2015Challenging windy day
We had not played the course for 3 years. It had always been in good shape. The course was fairly dry considering the recent rainfall amounts. The greens were in good shape and rolled very nicely. The fairways were in great shape as well. The rough was very challenging in many spots. The pace of play was good considering the number of golfers on the property. The beverage cart came by regularly. The pro shop staff were very welcoming and seemed to be enjoying their jobs. I would recommend this course to players of all skill levels. Even though the back tee yardage is not extreme, there were many tough tee shots and the windy conditions made the course even more challenging.
No issues here
The layout is challenging, but fair. We were told that it had been closed for a period of time, it seems to be rebounding. The conditions were average, but the weather in February has not helped many courses this year. The staff were all friendly and treated us wonderfully. The restaurant/dining room/patio are above average.
Eagle Nest Golf Club
Played On 03/03/2015Eagle's Nest
Although the weather was chilly elsewhere, this course has enough shelter to make it playable when the temperature is below average. The greens were in good shape. There were some very wet areas, but that was common at other courses during this time due to the poor weather in January and February. The course is moderately challenging and it is priced correctly. The snack shop experience was not positive, but the proshop and starter were very friendly.
Thistle Golf Club - Cameron Course
Played On 03/02/2015A Great Day at Thistle
The day started with an exceptional Rueben sandwich for $7.95, a great special and from then on, there were no complaints. If you shop carefully, there are some large discounts to be had for the green fees. The greens were like lightning, but puttable if you adapt carefully. The course was in better shape than most that we played. Due to the poor January and February, it was a little wetter than you might like, but that is the case at almost every Myrtle area course this year. This course will remain on my yearly wish list without a doubt!
Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club
Played On 03/01/2015Poor Way to Start a Vacation
Although we were extended the local green fee rate, that price was too high for this course. The cart paths need major maintenance work. The carts are old, the rain covers were ripped. The greens were barely playable as they have allowed tufts of grass to grow making putting like a game of shuffleboard. The layout was fine, it may have been a nice course years ago, but you can tell that they may have financial challenges.
Good Afternoon Mike,
Thank you for the excellent review.
We are excited to be on Golf Now and showcase Greenhills to London and surrounding golf market.
We look forward to having you back again.
