The Valley and the Palm are very beautiful courses, unfortunately the last 2 Rounds I have played at these 2 courses the pace of play has been absolutely terrible. So bad that I called the Pro Shop, in hopes they would send a Ranger out, but on both cases they said the Ranger had gone to lunch or was not accessible. There were 2 "open holes" in front of the Group that was holding everything up. We golfers all play at a different pace and I would hope we all understand that. I just wish those that play at a slower pace, could understand that we all paid a lot of money to play and enjoy these beautiful courses without having the frustration of waiting on every single shot. It seems as though many of these Resort Courses do not want to upset the "Playing Clientel" by having a Ranger keep good pace of play, instead they Frustrate everyone else that wants to equally enjoy the Round of Golf they have paid for. I played 28 Rounds of golf in my 2 plus months spent in the Palm Desert area this Winter, but none as Frustrating as these 2 rounds. To try and end on a "Good Note", I have to say that the Pro Shop Staff and Starters were Fantastic, with superb Golf Courses, unfortunately that great service "gets lost", when one part of the equation does not work.
