Beautiful course that is well maintained and somewhat challenging. Great value!
Cooks Creek Golf Club
Played On 05/20/2015Fun and challenging with beautiful scenery
I like how this course is laid out. Almost every hole is lined with tall trees or water giving it a very secluded feel and a fun challenge.
The carts are newer and electric. The conditions were good, but seem to be lacking just a bit from last year. Not a big deal though, still very much worth playing… Especially if you can find a good deal.

Lots of open water on the front and very tight tree lines on the back. Very well kept for this late in the season.

I played this track a few times last year. I was cruising GolfNow for a Saturday deal and found a 2 spot for $18.50 per person. I expected to be paired, but they sent us right off (20 min early). We played through 3 foursomes who were taking their time, they did not hesitate to let us pass. We finished in 3.5 hours, and had the back 9 basically to ourselves. Challenging but fun course, highly recommend.
New Albany Links Golf Club
Played On 07/16/2014Downhill since last year...
I played this course a few times last year and thought it was pretty decent, although a little expensive for the quality. This time I got a great deal, but was very disappointed with just about everything.
Firstly, I arrived about 15 minutes early for my tee time and did not tee off until 15 minutes after my tee time had passed. When I gave my ticket to the Ranger, there was nobody on the first tee. He let two foursomes ahead of us (it was just me and one other player). One of the foursomes players had not even arrived yet, we were made to wait for her.
The pace of play was atrocious. It took three hours to play the front nine. There was nobody out on the course regulating play.
The course conditions were significantly worse than I remember from last year. Divots littered the fairways, and the greens were in pretty rough shape. Apparently no one takes the time to fix their ball marks here...
I will not be back.

Played On 07/08/2014Wide open
Good track, wide open course. Good mix of water and sand, very few trees.
Ashland Golf Club
Played On 06/07/2014Beautiful challenging course
I played this course while in town visiting family. I am not sure what the normal Saturday rate is, but well worth the $25 deal I got. Extremely well maintained and the clubhouse was recently updated. Pace was slow, but I was playing alone on a Saturday...lots of large groups in front of me. Much nicer than a lot of $20-$30 courses available in the Columbus area.
Table Rock Golf Club
Played On 06/05/2014Hot Deal
I have played this course if you times before using the deals provided by GolfNow. It is a nice course, but I would not pay more than $20 for it. I noticed more dead spots in the fairways this year and then before, nothing a foot wedge couldn't fix though. Nice scenery and a challenging course.
Royal American Links Golf Club
Played On 10/22/2013Good track
The course was well kept except for numerous ball marks on the greens. Play was quick due to the course being empty...I played at 3:45pm in the cold.
Homestead Springs Golf Course
Played On 9/3/2013Casual easy course
This course was just okay for the price of $12... Would not pay more than that. It was kind of a hike for me as I am in the middle of Columbus. It looks like it is someone's private home with an addition built on the back to serve as the clubhouse. No dress code that I saw… Lots of guys wearing T-shirts and jean shorts... I guess that may be a positive feature for some though. The course was fairly well maintained and play was quick, not very challenging.

Played On 8/29/2013Nice round...very short
This was a nice course to play but seems very short. Overall it was very well-maintained… No complaints but not too exciting either. I played solo in the middle of the afternoon for $12, good value.
Oakhaven Golf Club
Played On 8/27/2013Good round
This was an excellent value for $12 at noon. I selected the course required attention because several holes have large mud spots on the fairways, but I never seemed hit into any. Aside from the muddy spots, the rest of the course was in great shape. I played solo at noon and breezed through the front 9 in just over an hour...ended up catching some people on the back but rate of play of acceptable. I left around 3:30pm and noticed they had about 40 high school kids getting ready to go off...not sure what days of the week they play, I played on a Wednesday.
Raccoon Valley Golf Course
Played On 8/20/2013Rolling fairways and greens...
Great course for the price (paid $12). I played the front 9 alone in just over an hour, caught some groups on the back but they kept pace and I was done in about 2.5 hours. They have a 666 yard par 5 that was fun...pretty much all the fairways are open and roll forever. The greens were a bit tricky, but after a few holes you got used to them. Staff was young but friendly.
Bent Tree Golf Club
Played On 8/11/2013Sand, sand, and more sand...
There are a ridiculous number of sand traps on this course...many of them oddly placed in the middle of several holes. I went on a Sunday and it was packed, I teed off about 25 minutes late. Once we got going the rate of play was acceptable, still took about 5 hours. Most of the greens are dried/burned out...looked like over-treatment of some kind.
