Need better upkeep

The course was ok if you like a course in the middle of a million houses. Reminded me of Pheasant Run in Canton, MI. Biggest problem I had was the leaves. They shouldn't charge greens fees if they don't pick up or blow the leaves way. Millions of leaves in the fall. I lost a ton of balls because they were somewhere amist the tons of leaves around the greens or in the fairways. You cant find you call in the fall in this course because they don't clean up the leaves all over.

Nice Course but boy it could be so much more

For the price I was thrilled. This is a Geaorgeous course that just needs attention. If they put some money into this it would fetch top dollar (and than I couldn't play there so maybe I dont want them to fix it :) ) but it has sooo much potential. The layout is very pretty. The staff was nice. No problems with Rangers like Hickory Creek has being rude. The complaints I would have is the sand traps are overgrown with grass. It would be so nice if they would add sand and fix this. There are some spots on the fairways that need attn too. THe other complaint is the greens are not all the same speed. I get used to a slow green and the next one is a lot faster. Makes putting tough. Also the dirt roads for the carts are ehh. The other problem I had was the pace of play . 3.5 hours for the front nine. For some reason the back nine didn't have anyone on it. Took an hour for the back thank goodness. Real slow people and no one speeds them up but I'd rather have that than rangers barking at you. Still the scenery is geourgeous with some very pretty holes so I would definitely come back.

Poor conditions

This place is like playing in a corn field. There is no fairway, no cart paths (Good luck trying to figure out where the next hole is to tee off), etc just greens. They mowed down some corn fields and put in greens and tee off boxes which aren't really tee off boxes, just markers so you know where to tee off. Theres no difference really between the fairways and rough (Like I said its like playing in someones back yard) and good luck finding your ball. It can be in the middle of the fairway and you can't find it since the grass is too long. The first couple of holes are scenic but after that you're just playing in a big grass parking lot. Dont go out of your way for this course (Which by the way is way out in the middle of nowhere).

Bad shape- Needs Maintenance

They should charge $3 to play this course. Everything badly needs attention. The parking lot badly needs maintenance as do the cart paths, the signs havent been painted in years and are chipping, etc. Dont put your ball in the rough, you wont find it since its not mowed enough. There are. well were, sand traps which the place decided was too much work to keep maintained so they just let them get overgrown with grass, its obvious. The maintenance on this place is terrible. I played a cheap metro park which was much better maintained than this place. The greens are screaming fast and wicked- most of my holes were 4 putts- Barely chip it on and it rolls off the other side. Frustrating. Also the layout is such that everyone hits into everyone else, I almost got hit 5 times in one round with balls landing right by me- and NOONE has the curteousy to yell FORE! I wont be back.

ok

Had a good time. Staff was nice. Had a good time. Nothing fancy though. Greens were nice - real fast. Rest of course was eh, tons of weeds in fairways. Water /ponds not clean. Worth it if you can go dirt cheap otherwise there are nicer courses.

Overpriced for what it is.

Nice course but I paid 90 for 2 people through golf now and there were guys who had the exact same tee time for a lot less who I met. Also they had an event going on when my tee time was and we had to wait 30 min but at least they let us off the back nine vs waiting longer. Ranger yelled at me for driving on fairway because it was a par 3 but there were no signs or roped off. How was I to know? It was a nice course and guys at desk were real polite - got an extra 9 for free. But the course was not near as pretty as the website shows and not worth the cost.

Nice course

Nice course. My firnd raved about it and I'm not sure why he like it soo much. I mean its nice but not as pretty as others imo but still real nice. 20 minute drive between 12 and 13 kindve excessive. People were pretty nice though as me being a single most people let me play through. I would return with a good deal on golf now.

Cut the rough grass already!

This course is very pretty with unusual holes which I liked (Doglegs over hills for ex) and I liked the fact there were no Rangers to harass you. So many courses have Rangers which do nothing but harass the customers if they park to close to the green, play too slow, whatever. Rangers are the worse thing invented for courses. Speed of play was fine.

That being said, the main thing is MAINTAIN YOUR COURSE MAN! There are many fairways which are just ugly missing grass-They badly need to put in a sprinkler system in areas. But the Biggest Complaint BY FAR is CUT THE GRASS! On this course if you are 1 inch into the rough or even sometimes in the fairways you CANNOT find your ball Period. I spend soo much frickkin time looking for my ball which was either in the fairway or just in the rough that its not worht playin here. Guys behind us were getting frustrated (Understandably so) because our 2nd shot took forever. Well thats because we spent 15 minutes looking for my ball which when I found it was 3 inches in the rough to the right of the fairway and the grass is so long you wont see it unless you are right on top of it at the right angle. I duffed a shot once which went 20 ft ahead of me, than spent 10 minutes looking for it because I couldn't find it in the tall rough! (which was right by the fairway by the way). My Daughter hit one in thhe middle of the fairway on the 10th hole and we gave up and dropped another ball since I was tired of looking for balls in the fairway.

It was a nice course, friendly people, etc but wont come back until these guys learn to cut the grass lower. It was too frustrating spending so much time looking for balls which were in play but you can't find.

Too much walking

It is a pretty course and the staff was exceptionally nice except for the waitress. CUTE beer girl on a cart :) Thing I didn't like was every hole was long and very hilly and you can't drive your cart on most of the fairways so its a lot of walking up hills. I get short of breath easily so this made the round no fun. The round took over 5 hours too but I think mainly because people are walking a lot from their cart to their ball and that shows down play. I honetly dont know why its so pricey. The course is pretty big honestly not any prettier than a lot of the courses on golf now.

Nice Course Rude Staff

The course is beautiful. Absolutely love it. Thing is that the 2 times I went the Young guy who works there is rude rude rude. Doesn't put you in a good mindset to start your game. First time he told me well I better keep my long shirt on because I'm not supposed to wear a sleeveless shirt (It was a nice Nike one) however I guess its ok for women to since I saw women with the same shirt on the course. Nice time I bought a 1 player tee time and thought my Daughter couldn't play cause of a broken leg but it healed and when I showed up it was a big frickken deal even though I offered to pay extra for her - No problem. Guy wigged out than asked my Daughter about it to like see if I was lying. I'd golf there probably every other day if it wasn't for this guy. Never have issues like this at any other golf course.

1/2 a course

The back nine is nice. Looks like a golf course. The front is a green parking lot. Its like a field and they just put greens and tee boxes on it. Very long and very boring. If you want to play only 9 than just play the back and you'll be happy. The front is pretty pathetic.

Back Nine is Nice. Wheres the beer lady?

Went here for the first time. Was ok. DIdn't have a beer cart lady driving around and the lobby is bad. Not a real nice lobby to have a beer afterwards like most golf courses. The back nine was beautiful but the front isn't . Night and day between the front and back nine. Overall an ok course.
