I have played this course 4 or 5 times over the past 4 months and have seen a steady transformation from a facility that has seen better days to an up and coming course with tremendous potential to be as good as any in the area.
There are several challenging holes with plenty of water and also a few others that have decent elevation changes. The greens are a work in progress but are 50% better than they were months ago.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the new owners are committed to making this property a course that we can all be proud to support and play.
Get out and support this facility which is only one of two public courses in town. Green Fees are the best in town....right now they are running 2 for $40 with a cart which is an excellent value compared to fees on other local courses.

On a business trip to Atlanta recently I managed to get away one afternoon for a round of golf. Not being familiar with the courses there I turned to a few different places to look at the reviews for the courses close by to me in Buckhead.
Although Bobby Jones was within 6 miles from me, I came very close to choosing another course based on several of the negative reviews I read on a few different sites....so glad I trusted my instincts and played here.
The course was in excellent shape, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly; and as I was playing by myself, whenever I ran into other groups on the course I was graciously allowed to play thru.
After I reached the 10th tee, a massive rainstorm hit and eventually flooded the fairways. I went to the clubhouse, asked for and received a rain-check, although the clubhouse attendent assured me that the course would drain rather quickly, I thanked him but decided to leave anyway.
As I was packing up to leave it started clearing and after a quick look at my phones radar, I went in threw the rain-check back to the attendant and went out and started the back 9 where this course really got fun for a flat-lander like me from Florida. There were some really nice elevations and slopes. I wound up playing with another local gentleman who was a great golfer....we had a blast, and even played the last 2 holes twice. The course took the rainstorm in stride and drained quickly just as promised.
It astonishes me that I almost missed this grand old Bobby Jones course because of the negative reviews I saw that were not indicative of the course I played that day.
Do not miss the opportunity to play on this historic and beautiful course.
