Great Experience

Really nice course. Great practice facility. Nice friendly staff. Pace of play was good - 4 hrs 15 mins. which was refreshing after the 5 hr rounds we have had at other area courses. The front nine is more links style and was a little dry in places. Back nine in the mountains is spectacular.

Beautiful Course - Slow play

This is a gorgeous course. Nice layout with great greens.
Arrived to find the range closed for mowing at 12:30 pm. That was disappointing.
Enjoyed our playing partners but found the pace of play brutally slow. Was over 5 hours - way too long.

Back again...

I reviewed this course a week ago. Todays experience was far better. Pace of play was improved and we had grass to warm up on. Course is a lot of fun to play!

Good course, great value

We took advantage of $89 green fee thru golfnow.com. Practice facility is great but the grass was all destroyed between the range markers by the time we got there. Starter was great and paired us with another couple.

On first fairway, mower ignored our pleas to stop his machine while we hit (twice). Couldn't believe it! I'm sure the course does not condone that behavior. Pace of play was slow. We were waiting a lot and finished in just over 4.5 hours.

However, fun course for my wife and I to play with generous fairways and good greens.
We stayed for dinner. Food was great, service was excellent, and priced fairly.

All in all a good experience. We will play again later this week.

Slow

I have played this course a couple of times before. Interesting track with some spectacular elevation changes and views. Mike in the pro shop was very accommodative as we had experienced some car trouble earlier in the day. Course was recently over seeded so greens were slow.

Pace of play was a little slow and we followed a group of hackers so was a little frustrating. A course marshall would be helpful.

Disappointing

I expected a TPC course to be in better condition. Some greens were very bumpy and certainly not up to the standard of a premiere Scottsdale course. Although there is no GPS on carts the course is well marked. A number of pin placements didn't match the pin sheet. What's up with that?

Wear your helmet!

We played Canyon/Oasis today. A short course with many parallel fairways on Canyon. Balls were flying at us from many directions. I 'm sure this was a great course in its day but there are many better to choose from in the valley that provide better value for the money.

Decent course but few memorable holes.

Not great value for the money. No GPS and limited yardage markers. Range balls on a couple of fairways.

Pace of play was painfu at times.

Nice layout but greens were too shaggy to putt.

The location is nice and the holes are interesting but the greens were unputtable. We were told they would be shaggy but this was ridiculous. We paid for 18 holes and only played nine. I question whether the $52/per was really worth it to the course when you consider that I'll never be back and will certainly never recommend the course to others.
