Union Hills Golf & Country Club
Played On 04/23/2021Could use more water in the fairways
Great course which I have played many times. As compared to other courses in the area, this course could use some more water in the fairways. Greens were fast, but true. Sand traps seem to be fairly well maintained. Overall, a great day of golf :)
Palm Valley Golf Club - North/South
Played On 04/08/2021Course is in great shape -- greens are lightening fast right now -- prepare to 3-putt :)
A wonderful test of your game -- you could have a great day out here or a lousy one :)
Sand traps were a bit tough -- might need more sand.

Fantastic course!!! Fairways and greens are immaculate! Sand bunkers galore, and very well maintained. Play this course every time you get the chance, you will thank me :)
Sun City South Golf Course
Played On 12/14/2019Wonderful Course
I rarely take the time to write reviews, but in this case I had to write one simply because of the sand traps which had REAL SAND in them!! The sand was full, soft, fluffy, and deep -- the kind of sand you would dream of if you had to end up in a sand trap :) Too often in Arizona, and on too many courses in Arizona, the sand traps are not well maintained. Kudos to the greens keeper and superintendent at Sun City South!!

Played On 07/18/2018Great course
This is a great course -- I was very disappointed that there was no Alert or Advisory on golf now to let us know that the course was being aerated and that many of the fairways mimicked a farmers field. Terrible playing conditions on those fairways! We should have been warned ahead of time. They went a little crazy with the amount, and placement of sand bunkers; however the sand in those bunkers was immaculate! Other that that, this was a great course which I plan to play again once the course is back to normal.
Sunland Village Golf Course
Played On 08/27/2015A must play!
Great course which I have played many times. The greens were in fantastic shape and the sand in the sand traps had been spruced up -- something not often done in courses in Arizona -- most of the time the sand in most courses is like hard pan. Kudos to the groundskeeper and crew!
San Tan Highlands
Played On 06/25/2015Great course -- cannot wait to play it again!
Well laid out - would not want to walk it because holes in some cases are pretty far apart. Huge hills on some holes. Sand traps were terrible -- extremely hard sand -- they could use some sprucing up/rototilling. Wide fairway and fast, undulating greens -- just the right amount of challenge.
Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort
Played On 10/4/2013This course had wide tree-lined fairways but their greens were in terrible shape -- I mean really, really bad.
Had the greens and fairways been in better shape, the course would have been really nice to play, but the greens were so bad it really made it a lousy round. These greens were in the condition that one might encounter on a municipal course that is located in the bad part of town. Patches of grass were missing on many greens forcing one to put through sand patches a yard in diameter. The sand traps more required the use of a putter than a sand iron to get out of -- really bad shape -- rock-hard packed sand --almost unplayable. It is clear that the groundskeeper need a much larger budget.
Peoria Pines Golf Club
Played On 12/5/2012Great course! Has a little bit for all skill levels.
This course is a lot of fun to play. You can get a round in in a little over 3.5 hours. Can get backed up though because of all of the par 3's. Management needs to offer less tee times or at least spread them out to at least 12 minutes apart. Sometimes they allow too many people on the course at the same time. Other than that, it is a course I enjoy and I play fairly often. Great value!
