Course lay out is really good. Driving range was decent. Greens were excellent condition.
The main issue was the fairways. Ground very hard and hard pan shots on every fairway. Fairway grass was not growing upward. From a groundskeeper perspective I can bet they skipped on aeration of the fairways. This course can be great, but there is a lot to pay attention to. Don't think they got it in them to do or pay for proper maintenance required for this course.

Starter put us off back 9, because of a shotgun must have been group of 40 that was at 845am. Of course not informed. Finish that 9 in hour 45. Get to turn and leave after 2 holes. At hole 3 there was 4 group back up. Yes, 4 groups no joke. No way this course went by tee times schedule. Management can care less about making sure tee times are organized for a 4 hour round. Will never go back here again and you are foolish if you do. Will tell the approximate 15 golfer friends I have as well to never play here.

Greens were close to being back to pre punch. By this weekend they will be close to perfect. Course was great all the way around. Night before had late rain so course was as expected moist. Grounds crew didn't prep bunkers for the days rounds. Management needs to send a crew out early to take care of bunkers which wasn't done. Range ball price is a bit of a fleece. 8 dollars and 14 dollars for what you get is a joke. If you pay 60 dollars for a round you gotta do a better job than that. Course in great shape and solid conditions.

Fairways were excellent. Rough was high and thick. Especially around the greens. Issue course was having areas could not be mowed because of soft ground from rain. Greens have issues. Majority of greens are damaged and many kill spots on green. Pin placement helped by keeping cup away from dead spots. Parts of green that were not damaged rolled good and growing in nice. If they can correct this issue greens would get an excellent rating. Lay out of course is good better be good off the tee and consistent with approach shots to the green. Fix the greens and find a way to mow the rough around greens and this is an excellent course.

Starter changed us at last minute to white/blue instead of red. That's a bad job and not a good way to start. Then as you get to the green holes galore and sandy greens, yes they were recently punched. So greens on 1 thru 9 white course horrible don't care if punched or not. Wasn't supposed top play that course. Fairways were very good and rough properly manicured. Sod replacement through out course. Back 9 blue no different except greens were not punched, but still not very good. The carts are garbage tires and steering made the carts veer and hard to steer. No shield in front either on cart. Driving range was closed and chipping area is mediocre. Practice green was horrible punched with sand galore. Hit on practice putt and bailed. This course is hyped up and it just didn't live up to the hype.

Played from tips had to hit it well off tee. Greens were fantastic in amazing shape. Crab grass creeping in on majority of fairways. Played lift clean and place and put ball in fairway grass. No way I am hitting off crab grass when I am in the fairway.. They are renovating tee boxes seemed like on majority of par 3's. They need to repair some of the hole signs and make it easier to navigate from hole to hole. All in all great atmosphere and scenery.

Nice lay out with a very great scenic area that is nicely mixed in with the course. Courser needs a bit more manicuring. They are close. Tuff to have driving range so far from first tee. The gas carts are just not good. Very slow, but just enough to get through the round. Course has all the makings for a 5 star condition course. Understand it could be finances. I will return.

Greens were in final stages of Greens aeration. Grass was high, once they are cut and rolled should be excellent. That being said they were slow. Another thing to add the cups were not pulled correctly, lip did not have proper edge on many of the holes. Most weeds I have ever seen on this course. Especially in rough area where it should be grass. Hole 13 and hole 16 fairway is in trouble. Close to losing them. Course maintenance has some work to do. Just seems like not getting the proper attention it usually does.

Can't beat free range balls for starters. Fairways were nice and plush. Rough and fringe were manicured properly. Greens were outstanding. Even with rains from tropical depression they rolled at a good pace. When it dry's out a bit and they cut greens with a roll going to be perfect. Maintenance crew at ChampionsGate does an outstanding job. You can see they know what they are doing.

Starter and attendant at bag drop were great.Except for couple of ground under repairs and the making of new tee box (tells you what ever is wrong will be corrected) course in great shape. Greens are top notch. I would prefer a bit faster, but that's the way course is set up, you just have to adapt. Fairways nice with good lies and the fringes on green manicured to perfection. Give this course a few weeks will be immaculate..

Professional feel to the complex and very well kept. Tee boxes in great shape, seemed like the white tees were not playing 6200 seemed shorter. Fairways were not hard pan which at this time of year, you seem to find a lot. Great job with the condition of fairways. Sand traps were perfect. The greens were incredible, played late afternoon very fast. Probably a 12 or 13 stimpmeter, close to Augusta national type green speed. If you were off the green you had to be creative with getting on. This is a course where if it's first time playing you will make mistakes on placement/club selection for not knowing lay out. Going to play again.

Greens were fantastic, they get it correct here on how a course is supposed to be set up. Maintenance knows what they are doing. Very busy on both courses, but you had a starter who also knows what he is doing. Course is going to be in prime shape by mid May.

Course in great shape, greens are what PGA Tour players probably experience. Very fast and rolled true. If you miss green on approach, up and down very tough. Driving range needs work I can only think the grass was under going maintenance. They had practice mats to hit off of. One note on fairways transitioning from winter you would get a lot of hard pan lies off fairway. 12 thru 16 was cart path only, looks like they were punched getting ready for spring. This all being said I bailed on 13 because of slow play. Don't really fault management, but they do need to take responsibility for knowing whats going on out there. Management made the decision to have no starter because of pandemic. Waited on every tee box, had a 5some in front of the group in front of us, and the foursome in front of them had no business playing golf. When I got to 13 there was the foursome parked next to tee buying drinks and the two some waiting behind them. So a 3 group back up on 13. That is where I bailed, just couldn't do it anymore. This is not how golf is supposed to be played. If you are 30 plus handicap don't play here or play from ladies tees if you do. The employees at the bag drop are true professionals and do an outstanding job. Management is good as well. They did the correct thing and comped 18 for me. I will be back, just a heads up to anyone going especially on weekends you are looking at a 5.5 hour round.
