Tahquitz is what a golf course should be for the recreational golfer. Well maintained, reachable, yet challenging. However, paid moderate resort prices to play, which one can't afford to pay on a regular basis.

4.5 hour round, appreciated shorter distance 18 hole format. Tight fairways and hazards between par 3 tee - green compensated for distance and made it challenging.

Tee time was 9:45 am; by the second hole we had mowers and blowers following us, with crew standing on the green waiting for us to putt out. Mechanical whirring and making the crew wait for me significantly decreases my enjoyment of the game. A supervisor responded positively to move the crews away from our position in course.

Private club qualities; much nicer than other local public courses.

Water needed in the pro shop. Another step to go find the restaurant, then wait for a server to get a bottle water before tee time.
