Nice compact course and challenging enough for the average golfer. Slightly let down by tee mats that don't need to be there and state of the bunkers.

Playgolf Colchester is a short but tough little course. I've played many times so there is a draw to come back. Unfortunately what people say is true the bunkers are generally poor with too much solid sand and stones and the greens are in a poorer condition than they should be. Lockdown has adversely affected many courses and only time will tell if they can recover but money will have to be spent. You get used to the noise of the A12 ! It's a test but shouldn't cost more than £20 !
