What a shame

Greens are completely burnt out. Most are sand and hard as concrete. Its a shame cause this course layout was fun. 16-17 were great holes but your game gets messed up once on the greens, Hope they can fix this situation soon. If you want to head out and practice driving and approach this place is perfect. Not a lot of traffic and pretty quick play considering the circumstances.

One of the best public courses in South Florida

Old world charm meets modern comfort. Carts are GPS loaded, it has a Country Club feel to it and the view is amazing. You wouldn't think you are in the heart of Miami, smack center Coral Gables. And the golf is great two. There are some very challenging par 4s, good for the long hitters that want to go for it, great risk reward. If you see it on Hot Deals, jump on the offer!!

Great Irons course

This is a public 9 hole course with only two long holes. 3 & 6 van be challenging and 4 is the longest hole. Really greaty to practice short game and Iron play. Moves fairly quickly although there are a lot of walkers. For $11 you cant beat it!!

Dont waste your time

Sadly this course is in horrible shape. It has potential but just not kept up. The bunkers were like concrete, the fairways full of weeds and the greens were patches of dirt. There is no driving range or putting area. For $40 its not worth the drive.

Last resort golf

I played here with my son in law that is stationed at Ft Hood. The course is in dire need of attention, fairways are inconsistent and the greens are just brown patches of dirt. Even the holes were inconsistent, some had these large holes, like buckets and the others were barely cut into the ground. There was a par 3 over water on an elevated tee that was fun but the rest is very poorly kept. Not bad for a beginner or if you get in under 25 bucks, otherwise stay away.

Great place to play

I was fortunate enough to play all three 9 hole course while visiting my family stationed at Ft Hood. The course is laid out from 3 courses: Panther Claw, Armadillo Hills & Deer Run. Each is a bit unique. Course is a bit short for my taste but fairways and greens are kept very nice. The course is a bit tricky to navigate, seems like it was a very ad hock build, can find yourself in the path of someone's drive so heads-up all the time. The facility is very well maintained and the staff is OUTSTANDING!!

Get ready for an adventure!!

The name says it all!! This course is extreme golf at its best. A lot of elevation changes, narrow fairways, risk reward is outstanding and the greens are like felt. Played all three of the 9 hole courses, each presents unique challenges. Long hitters can put the drivers away on most holes or you may over shoot the fairways. There are a couple of par 4s that you can make the green if you dare!! Miss the fairway and you are playing in the dessert with the bunnies, coyotes and snakes watching.

Great layout and only 15 minutes from the strip. Make sure to order before you make the turn, the food and grill are outdoors.

Great bang for the buck!!

Course is about 15 minutes from Strip but in a shaddy part of town. The course has a desert feel but very little elevation and some water does come into play. Course feels long but actually isn't, wind in our face most of the morning made it challenging to hit green in regulation. There were a couple pretty good par 3s over water that played long.
For the price this is a fun course to wind down a vegas golf weekend!!

No more walking on the weekends?!?

It seems that Costa has stopped allowing walking on the weekends. Although I understand they are looking to speed up the pace of play issue that plagues them it is sad that they went this route. The course is perfectly set up for walking and they should promote it more.
It looks like they have moved the tee-box on 11, makes the hole very challenging but your in the path of people coming down 10.
Still recommend the course because of the price and proximity.

Great walking course

Course is wide open very little water and is perfect for walking. Refreshment cart made the rounds pretty quick. Some greens need a little work, kind of bumpy.

Not worth paying $40 for a round

This is a good course but not worth the price. Greens have improved but still very bumpy. Fairways are horrible shape, especially 10, between un-kept rough and ant hills everywhere, 10 has no drainage so it is a swamp.
If you are looking to go out and practice some shots and paying less than $25 this is the place for you.
