Early in the week, when you are breaking down the rust, this is a good option. The course is very challenging if you expect to score well, but enjoyable if you are trying to get your feet under you. The course maintenance is ok but not great. The greens are ok but not fantastic. If you don’t mind it doesn’t matter. Tee boxes are uneven. The collars of the greens have crabgrass in them. Few of the patrons repair their ball marks. The pace of play in designed to maximize revenue instead of your experience. This is Hilton Head in season. Overall, ok but not excellent.

This is not a course to play if you are not a very fast player. Oh, and don’t try to enjoy your round. You got to move!
Course is in excellent condition. Price is reasonable. But this is not a resort course. This is a highly regimented golf machine. We were on vacation and wanted a relaxing and fun round of golf. What we got was to be processed through 18 holes. I hope they made a profit because we won’t be back.

Paid $64 for the round. They then charged us $24 for a sandwich we had to make ourselves. Oh and another $6 “service charge” to make the sandwich that we made ourselves. Unbelievable! There is no driving range. They have nets you hit into off of AstroTurf.
The course is poorly maintained. I would avoid this course. Much nicer ones less than one mile away. Might have been a nice course once. Not anymore. Sad.

We played in mid July 2016. They had punched the green "two weeks ago." The greens were not put-able. No way to roll the ball. Nothing but a bouncing, skipping travail to the hole. It is nearly impossible to imagine that they would expect anyone to put these greens.

Other than the greens, the course is wonderful. Very interesting holes with some nice views and very good fairways and tee boxes. The staff was nice and the course was not crowded. The paced of play was wonderful.

They should fire their greenskeeper if its true that the greens were punched 2 weeks ago. My recommendation is call ahead of time and find out the condition of the greens. If they are in good shape, play this course. If they are not, move on.

I am certain that when is course was designed and opened it was a gem. It is just old and tired now. Greens are in marginal shape, tee boxes are in very poor shape and the staff needs to re-take customer service 101.
I'd love to see someone buy this course and restore to the kind of course it was designed to be. It's kind of sad that it's in the shape it's currently in.

This is not a resort course, but it is a very good muni. Lots of wide open holes and a few tight ones. Greens are average and worsen as the round progresses. We walked and that was just right.
