10/10 would recommend to anyone

Fantastic golf course! From the clubhouse to the 18th green it doesn’t get much better. Very friendly and welcoming staff, explained the facility exceptionally well for the first time guest. Range and range balls were in great condition. Putting green and short game area were the same as course conditions. From tee to green everything on the course was in excellent condition. Greens were quick and true. Staff stated they were running 11.5 for the day. I believe if they wanted they could get them much quicker than that. The layout was great. Challenging enough for the scratch golfer while maintaining playability for the high handicapper.

Good value for the area

Course never disappoints. Fairways and greens are always in great condition. Rough is cut down making the course friendly for most all handicaps. Fair mix of long and short holes. Tees could use a little work but it’s early in the season. A little disappointed they didn’t have the back tees out for play. Will definitely be back as it is a good value for the area and course conditions.

Waste of money

I played the course because of the pictures online. Huge disappointment! I realize the course is dormant this time of year but you could tell the lack of maintenance prior to the winter. The one bright spot was the bent grass greens, played hard and fast. About a third of them had some pretty significant dead spots. Maybe they will grow in this spring. As for now don't waste your money.

Great place to play

I play a lot of golf and the River course is a great place to play. We were the first group off and the starter got us off right at 7:30 even though maintenance forgot to call and tell him it was ok to go. Speaking of we were never held up once by the maintenance staff. Facilities and course we're in great shape. We had to be cart path only because of heavy rains the night before but I didn't mind because it kept the fairways like carpet. Excellent conditions tee to green. From the looks of the parking lot the course gets a lot of play and the greens were in excellent shape with very few pitch marks. I played the black tees (7120). It plays like a resort course with wide fairways with generous landing areas. The course plays fair to all levels as the other three in our group played the green tees and seemed to really enjoy their round as well. When you cross the road for holes 11-15 it seems like you are on a completely different course as it goes from flat to large hills and valleys. Enjoyable to break up the flatness of the other holes. I would absolutely recommend this course to all skill levels. They have plenty of tee options. Easy for the high handicapper yet challenging enough for the low handicapper.
