Bowes Creek Country Club
Played On 06/07/2019Great layout and the course was in great shape. My only complaint is that the greens need to be rolled more often of people just need to do a better job on ball marks.
Crystal Woods Golf Club
Played On 7/7/2013Solid track for the deal I had
It was my first time playing this course and I wanted to get out and play somewhere new. The course itself was is solid conditions and had a mixture of easy holes and challenging holes. They incorporate a lot of blind shots and dog legs on the more difficult holes. Overall the course was in good enough condition and the staff was nice enough that I would go back.
St. Andrews Golf & Country Club - St. Andrews Course
Played On 5/5/2013Above Average
I usually play St. Andrews a few times a year for some company outings and scrambles. The course is usually in decent shape but it does receive a fair amount of traffic. Chicago had record rainfall this April and in turn the courses have brightened up quickly. I played this past Sunday and the course was in the best shape I have ever seen it in. I was surprised to see the course moving at such a quick pace for a 65 degree and sunny day. The greens were in great shape as well as the course in general. Like most of the public courses in the area my only gripe is tee box maintenance. It wasn't terrible, but I feel like they could fix it up a bit to make it top notch. Overall it was a very enjoyable round and the course looked and played like it was in good shape.
Bowes Creek Country Club
Played On 4/20/2013Well done Bowes Creek
Kept hearing good things about the course and decided to play it this past weekend with some friends. I couldn't pass up a deal for $44. The course was in solid shape, which was surprising due to the ridiculous amount of rain we had this week. Bowes Creek offers a nice challenge and a beautiful layout. The course is littered with links style bunkers that truly serve as a hazard if you hit into them. A nice perk is the top notch gps system that is included in the carts, which allows you to find exact distances to not only the pin but each hazard and landmark as well. Overall it is probably the nicest semi-public course I have played around this area and it rivals some of the nicer country clubs and private courses in the area. I highly recommend it for those looking for a challenge and don't mind spending a bit extra.
Wow, we are so happy you enjoyed your round, Taylor! We have taken note of your feedback. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
