This is the time of the year when many courses are being punched and overseeded. Not sure why they aren't dong it here, but the greens really need some work. Lot's of ball marks, and some areas on the greens had been damaged, probably by a very hot summer. Two of the players that were paired with us, were not very good, snd were also very slow, which made the round unenjoyable. Not the fault of the staff, which were very.nice. Nice payout, and challenging, like most Nicklaus courses.

Since I have played Shadow Creek a few times, I wanted to try the Wynn Golf Club, and was able to take advantage of the Summer rate. Had a great caddy in David, and being first out, and alone, the round moved very quickly. It is much tighter than Shadow, and of course not as long, but the Fazio design is very well done. They were putting sand on the greens the day I played, but the putts rolled very true. They also had to re-design the course when it reopens, and unfortunately lost a great finishing hole. It is still great, just now a par 3 vs and tough par 4. I would repeat.

A little difficult for the High handicapper, so we played from the White Tees. The Back 9 plays a lot tougher than the Front 9, as there are more uphill shots into the greens, and more forced carries. The course is in excellent condition, staff was friendly, and the lunch after was excellent. Great price as I got a reciprocal with my Country Club.
