Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
Played On 04/11/2020Twin Rivers Golf Club
Played On 02/16/2019Twin Rivers reborn
City of Oviedo took over in 2017. New bunkers and daily maintenance have made a huge difference! If you haven’t played here in the last 2 years you are missing out!
Twin Rivers Golf Club
Played On 06/15/2018Much improved
Twin Rivers is a challenging layout carved out of the sawgrass hammock of the Little Econ river. Since the city of Oviedo took over the property the conditions have improved dramatically. Bunkers have been completely reworked and fairways are now well maintained. Greens roll well (save a few ball marks) and speed will challenge a good player. Alex and Staff will take good care of you!
The Club at Starr Pass - Rattler/Coyote
Played On 10/24/2012Awesome
Played coyote from the silver tees in October. They were using the alternate practice facility, and the putting green was a bit slower than the course, but the design and layout more than made up for it. Arnie's design demands you to hit fairways and greens. I hit the driver more than I should have and paid the penalty.
An unexpected work commitment forced me to quit after 9, but the staff offered to let me come back later that afternoon and finish which was a nice gesture.
The Golf Club at Dove Mountain - Saguaro/Tortolita
Played On 10/23/2012Loved it
Despite some slow greens due to overseeding, I had a blast at Dove mountain. I felt like a touring pro from the moment we pulled up at the bag drop. The course was difficult but fair. Fairways and greens are more important than length.
For those coming from sea level, beware of the high desert adjustment to your carry distance. Coming from the Midwest I found myself using 1 less club on most of my irons.
