As I am clubless now I need to visit other places for a game of golf. This course is quite close, only a few minutes off the M74. It is in great condition. There are great warm-up facilities. Most people change at their car as the changing room is basic. The staff are very helpful and the natives are friendly. I plan to use it quite regularly and have been back twice since August.

I left my local club at the end of 2018 as I was a bit disillusioned with golf. Today was my first game for 3 months. Crow Wood was a good place to start back. I had expected tight fairways with trees causing mayhem, but was very pleasantly surprised at the forgiveness. There has been a lot of rain recently and there has been work on the greens so it is not at its best. I would like to return in summer and I think that it will be good. As Bill Shankly said after Ajax beat Liverpool 5-1 - "ah but we have the measure of them now!" (They lost the return 2-1). I think that I will do much better next time. I felt welcome.
