Pennsauken Country Club
Played On 10/31/2021Aerated
It's been a while since I last played here. The course layout and overall condition was decent with the exception of the greens. They were aerated recently and still very bumpy. I wish Golfnow has the ability to let people know when the course is aerated.
Ocean Pines Golf Club
Played On 07/05/2019Another good round
The club house had been knocked down and under rebuild so food and drink service are limited. Course is in good shape. This course is one of our favorite in the area.
Turtle Creek Golf Club
Played On 06/30/2019Longest round ever
Our tee time was 11:36am on a Sunday and it took over 5.5 hrs to finish the round. It was a long day as we arrived a bit early (10:30) in hoping for an on-time or early start, but the course was running ~10-minutes behind schedule. The front-9 was manageable but the back-9 was ridiculous. There was 2-groups waiting on the tee box for most of the holes on the back-9. We called the golf shop and all we got was the course is crowded and there is nothing they can do. I had played this course before and never experienced anything like this.
Ocean Pines Golf Club
Played On 06/09/2018A hidden gem in Ocean City, MD
Ocean Pines is like our home course whenever we come to OC. The course is well maintained and present moderate level of challenge. It's in Berlin but much closer to the ocean than most other courses in the area. The green fee is reasonable. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for your five-star review and kind comments. We love hearing that you consider Ocean Pines your home course when you're in town. We're just a short drive from Ocean City, as you pointed out! We agree that our Robert Trent Jones-designed course offers the area's best golf value and are maybe going to have to borrow your "hidden gem" description! We truly appreciate your recommendation and look forward to having you back soon!
Longwood Golf Club - Post Oak Course
Played On 11/28/2013Opened on Thanksgiving
Longwood is one of only few golf courses opened on Thanksgiving. We had frost delayed so we had a late start. We played the Palmetto and Post Oak. The course was in good shape considering the amount of rain fall the last few days and the cold temperature. There are still many wet areas and water collection in places. They just top-dressed the greens so putting was hard to judge the speed. Overall, the course has good layout, with trees and water come into play on many holes. We would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again.
Thank you for the five-star review and for letting us know that our Robert Trent Jones-designed course is one of your favorites! We appreciate your patience as our new clubhouse is being built. We look forward to it being ready in time for the 2020 golf season and hope you'll make the trip down from Philly to check it out. In the mean time, the course is open, so please play a round with us again soon!
