Little Fishing Creek Golf Course
Played On 03/29/2017Nice afternoon
This was our first visit and if back in the area, we will return. The starter squeezed us in between a seniors group and a high school team so we felt a bit pressured at times but the course is beautiful with breath taking views. Fairways are pretty rough but the greens were good and although the brochure we had said the course had a restaurant/bar area, but there was nothing more than chips and a beer cooler.

Played On 02/28/2017Probably wouldn't return
This is our 1st visit here and although it was only $12 to play, it was almost an hours drive for us which will probably keep us from returning. I don't necessarily mind the drive except this place was pretty rough. The fairways were horrible and the course was very tight as I was almost hit three times with golf balls gone astray. There are several holes that end almost in line with the tee box for the next hole. Also not very happy with the pace of play as the course allowed a group of 5 in front of us that were definitely in no hurry.
River Golf & Country Club, The
Played On 02/27/2017Very much improved
This course is under new management and improvements are in the works. The greens are now the best I've seen at this course and the sand traps are much better. We played during the week and had no issues with the pace of play and the $12 green fee through Golf Now makes this a great deal.

Really enjoyed the day. Considering we played this course in February, we found course to be in pretty good shape.
Olde Liberty Golf & Country Club
Played On 02/06/2017Will probably return
Course conditions were very good. My only complaints were the condition of the golf carts, having two different carts that both had the same problem of occasionally refusing to move. Also, I would agree with other reviews I read about the unfriendliness of the staff. I've can't remember a time that I felt less welcome at a golf course.
Williamsburg National Golf Club - Jamestown Course
Played On 11/08/2016Not great
This was the first time we played this course. We only paid $13 for the round, so I have no regrets and the fairways were fine although covered in leaves which granted is one of the joys of playing in the fall, but I think I lost a half dozen balls under the leaves. My problem with the course is mainly the greens which were horrible. Best to just take two shots and move on to the next hole. We also felt that the staff were unfriendly maybe even rude. Thankfully we paired up with a very nice couple that knew the course and we enjoyed our day.
