Superb shorter course

Saratoga CC is probably the best maintained 9-hole course in California with lush fairways, quick greens and well maintained bunkers. For a short course, it is deceivingly difficult. The fairways are narrow with difficult rough and trees to deal with if you miss the fairways. The greens are well bunkered, several with false fronts, to catch the errant second shot. Due to its length and premium on accuracy, it is an excellent test of golf for all levels of play.

Nice course but expected more

Beautiful views from every hole. The greens were very challenging. I felt happy to get a 3-putt! The holes were all in good condition but the greenskeepers were all over and in the way. Caddies are not available. The restaurant has great views but the service was poor.

Nice course but doesn't compare to similarly priced courses in Monterey.

Great deal for beginners

Peter Hay is a unique 9 hole, traditional pitch & putt course. No hole is much longer than 100 yards but it is a lot of fun. This is where I take my friends who aren't experienced golfers but want the Pebble Beach experience. You can play all day for less than 1/10th the cost at Pebble but you can enjoy all the great views and food.
