Valencia Golf & Country Club
Played On 01/15/2024A high price to pay for a Municipal Course
The initial reaction of our group when paying for the round was how expensive the course was - $161.00. If this course was in mint condition you would not have had a problem. The price/value relationship didn't work for me. It's a nice course, wide open and some fun holes with water and bunkers. But the course is in poor condition with Tee Boxes and many fairways full of unfilled divot's. I would not play here again, but it was nice that it was so close.
Majestic Springs Golf Course
Played On 09/15/2023Glad we discovered this course
So happy that we discovered this course. It's not far from our house but we'd never tried it till recently. We've been back 2 times since the first time. We've brought friends and they also had a great time.
You can see that they are working on the course and getting it looking better. Several newly refurbished sand traps, which look good. Resurfacing the cart paths in many places. This course gets a ton of traffic so it's a never ending challenge to keep it looking good.
But it's a really fun course and some of the holes are beautiful and challenging.
Indian Ridge Golf Club
Played On 09/08/2023Love Indian Ridge as do many others
We've played at IR many times over the last couple of years. It's a bit of a drive but well worth it once we arrive. The Staff are all very good and helpful.
Only issue this day was pace of play. I think a lot of kids from Miami University were getting in a last round before starting school.
But it was the slowest I've ever seen it, sometimes 15 minutes on a hole.
Green Crest Golf Club
Played On 06/17/2023Lot’s of potential, but painfully slow
We’ve played here a few times and on balance we liked it and will come back. I think the front nine is more interesting than the back, but both have a couple of really unique holes. It was a Saturday before Father’s Day so no surprise that it took our foursome 6 hours to play 18 holes.
There is a starter but no ranger that I saw all day. A lot of younger adults come out for a day of drinking and golf and sometimes that slows things down. We had a “6 some” in front of us. They teed off the first hole as two threesomes, but quickly joined up and all played together. The front nine took over 3 hours, but the back was a bit quicker.
I think there are some things they could do to help pace of play. Should never let a single or twosome go out on the weekend. Hire a ranger to keep an eye on things. The people who work here are all great and very friendly. It’s a long course and can fool you on a number of holes. Par 5 over 500 yards, some Par 4’s 400 yards or greater. If I compare this course to other municipal courses it is a much better course than some and I’d play here before playing at other muni’s in the area.

Played On 09/30/2022Fun Course with a few tricky holes
We had a lot of fun playing here. The weather was perfect. They have a couple of holes that require some strategy and that makes it more fun. This is a municipal course that gets a lot of play, but I thought it didn’t look too bad. Play from blue or black for the best experience. Blue tees are like mist courses white. We were a twosome behind a foursome, but we still played in about 4 hours. The greens are pretty good and faster that expected.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Your feedback is valuable, and we appreciate your business. Green Crest Golf Club thanks you!
Hawk's Landing Golf Club
Played On 02/20/2022Always a good time at Hawks Landing
My wife and I play here almost every time we are in Orlando. This is probably the third time we've played this year. The golf course has evolved over the years and is now a par 70 (18th hole used to be a par 5, now a 3). But we enjoy the convenience and have generally played with really nice people., There are some tricky holes like the first par 5. It looks more intimidating than it is, but it's still one that you have to think about each shot. The 7th is a very long par 3. Even from the Blue Tees it's a poke! The back actually has more "fun" holes, where ball placement is everything. I love all three of the par 3's on the back, especially 18. I love the island green and I think it looks like the 17th at the Stadium Course. The course has a lot of miles on it and it shows in a few areas like the Tee Boxes. But always a fun round.

Second time here this year and I really enjoy the course. Lots of fun holes, particularly on the back nine. Stay in the short grass and you will have a great round.
South/West at Glenview Golf Course
Played On 06/14/2021Another fun day at Glenview
We are pretty regular during the summer and this was our first time out this summer. The course is in pretty good shape considering how much rain we’ve had. The rough was a major factor in our scoring, you have to stay in the fairways! The greens rolled very well, a bit slow today but I was happy with them. I think they could do something with the forward tees so that women wouldn’t have such a long carry to the fairway. Would also speed up play.
Timacuan Golf Club
Played On 03/24/2021Fun Course with lot’s of fun holes
It was kind of like a tale of two nines. The front nine was more “hilly” and several holes felt like a desert course. Fun and long Par 3’s, especially from Blue Tees. The back had a lot of water, and some of the more challenging holes I’ve played.
Hello, Donald9019360. Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. We're so glad that you enjoyed your round at Timacuan Golf Club. Please visit us again soon!
Dubsdread Golf Course
Played On 02/12/2021A hidden gem in the middle of Downtown Orlando
I had never played here and based on this one experience I would definitely return. The course has a lot of water (almost every hole) that comes into play on most shots, particularly drives. The greens were very good, but also quite fast. They have a nice golf range and a really nice restaurant on property for an after round meal. Pricing is in line with expectations for a municipal course. Overall course condition is in line with a well used muni course. But the fareways, greens and most T boxes were in good shape. If you approach this course as a very solid muni I think you will have a good time.
Thank you so much for your review, Donald! We are happy to see you enjoyed our course. We value your feedback, and hope to see you back in the future.
Stonelick Hills Golf Course
Played On 09/26/2020Love Stonelick Hills
This remains my favorite course to play in Cincinnati. I’ve played almost every public course and none compare to this one. Even today after a long season the course was still in good shape. If I could only play one more round of golf it would be at Stonelick Hills
White/Blue at Neumann Golf Course
Played On 08/17/2020Always fun to try a new course
First time at Neumann and I played by myself which was great. I was done in 2:45. Once I saw the distances I decided to play the Blue Tees. The Slope rating for Blue is 108 on White, 103 on Blue and 99 on Red. Next time I might play the black. the layout is nice, but nothing outstanding. Lots of hills so not a ton of flat lies. The greens were in pretty good shape and rolled pretty true.
The Grizzly Golf & Social Lodge - Grizzly Course
Played On 07/21/2020We do enjoy the Grizzly
I have played at the Grizzly for over 10 years. It is the course we probably play the most because it’s a good value as we live in Mason and it’s close to where we live. The course is starting to show some wear on some fairways and greens. We just got back in June so I don’t know how much play they got earlier in the season.
The people who work at the Grizzly are all very nice and very helpful.
The Grizzly Golf & Social Lodge - Grizzly Course
Played On 06/14/2020Great to be back on The Grizzly
Do love playing this course. It’s a public course so you expect it to be in a bit tougher shape. But we were happy with the condition overall. The rough was a factor, both hitting out of and finding your balls. But we just got back from Florida where there is not much rough.
Fun course and we will probably play here most of the time.
Lakeside/Meadows at Shaker Run Golf Club
Played On 09/20/2016Fun and challenging course, I will be back!
I enjoyed my round at Shaker Run and will return to play again soon. I found the course to be in good condition and the holes were all unique and challenging. I loved the last hole Woodlands with two water hazards that influenced your first two shots on the hole. But there were many others like a short par four requiring an iron off the tee and a shorter par 5 that put placement at a premium.
Thanks so much for your review and the great rating! See you again soon, glad you loved the challenge!
The Grizzly Golf & Social Lodge - Grizzly Course
Played On 10/29/2014Always love playing the Grizzly
Probably the course I play the most over the whole year. It's a fun course, challenging in some places, but very fair.
Independence Golf Club - Championship
Played On 4/27/2013Great course, needs work
Love this course and was really excited to play, but the course was in awful condition. I've played on public, municipal courses that were in better shape.
I would return as I assume the condition would improve. It is a fun layout and beautiful course, but I think they should reduce the green fees until the course is up to par.
The Grizzly Golf & Social Lodge - Grizzly Course
Played On 11/2/2012The course has a couple of beautiful holes, particularly the closing Par 5's.
This is a good course and it was in good shape, given the time of the year. Rough had just been airiated so that impacted balls not landing in fareway. But the course overall was in good shape.
@Donald9019360, we appreciate you leaving a positive rating! We value your business and hope to see you back at our Glenview Course again soon.
