Candywood Golf Club
Played On 06/14/2014bad green
The green on all the holes are in terrible shape, Normally, this course is known for great fairway and green. It has no bunker. However, this year the greens are all damaged and in poor shape. No worth the money.
Turkana Golf Course
Played On 8/10/2013good condition all around, nice views
Very good link course. various elevations, good green, good fairway and interesting layout. Friendly staff. Will play again. This place should look beautiful in the fall. Last hole #18, is tough from the blue tee- Watch for water on the right beyond the big tree, you can not see it when you teed off, very narrow fairway, you can only see the rough on the left.
Copeland Hills Golf Club
Played On 8/2/2013very challenging course
condition and hole layout is good. There should be a sign from the main road to the course for out of town players. We got lost since this course is really out in the country. Staff is very friendly. Since most holes do not have the card path, you can ride the cart next to green and around the green! very strange for those who used to playing at high end courses. It is very easy to play a wrong hole, since the direction and sign for some holes are not obvious, just make sure you verify the sign by the tee off box that you are playing the right hole. If you just focus on playing each golf hold itself and don't mind the condition of the cart path between holes ( wood chips and gravels), then you will have a good time. The layout of the hole is good and challenging. Fairway and green condition are good. This is a mature course, very good value for the money on GolfNow, just need a good sign on direction to get there from the main road off the free-way, and a more professional sign between holes.
Flying B Golf Course
Played On 7/20/2013Very nice course- great condition
Very good condition on fairway and green. One unforgettable hole - par 4 that has green by the water to the right and big down slope to the left next to green which you can not see from the fairway approach shot! Good value without the discount deal; with the deal from golfnow.com, it is a "must play" course. -an excellent deal for those that live within 1hr drive.
This course condition (green and fairway) on 7/20/2013 was excellent- slightly better than Candywood, Copeland Hill, Kensigton,. In term of the course difficulty, it is more difficult than Candywood, but less challenging than Copeland Hill, Kensington and Yankee Run (another good course, but no deal here).
Willow Woods Golf Club
Played On 6/15/2013tight course, no. 17 green is toughest.
No easy green. If you don't mind some of the bad maintenance on the bungers, this course is fun to play at least couple times.
