This is the worst golf experience in my life. Pace of play was atrocious; waiting 10 minutes in between holes. Pace of play was so bad walkers were on our backs all day. Greens were the worst I’ve seen. Ball marks all over the greens. Very said to see this is a Pete Dye course but these golf profession has completely let the course go. Up keep for the course is about non-existent. Will never come back or refer friends.

This course requires more accurate shots than power shots. Not a particularly long course just lots of dog legs right/left. Greens excellent roll very good.
Course holds water so I wouldn’t recommend after a rain event. Course would play much better when dry.

Course wasn’t in bad condition except the greens. Greens were scabbing and this is prime time for bent grass greens. Very disappointing to see the greens still in this poor condition.

Always wanted to play here because I went to school here; wasn’t a golfer back then. Well finally got to play and it was the absolutely most excruciatingly slow round I ever played and I walk 18 during the fall and spring seasons. This was almost a 5 HOUR round. Rough is super thick so hit’em straight or lose a lot of balls. Greens were slow and soft so this course played LONG. Overall I would say fall or spring season is the time of the year this course glimmers but the pace of play just killed the euphoria I had in my mind playing this course.

Course was a great layout. Only had issue with tee boxes being almost bare on many holes. It was a little wet and I slipped on a tee box because it was more mud than grass. Fairways and greens in great shape. Just outside fairway grass gets exponentially thicker so golfer beware if you don’t make fairway. Lost a few balls because of this more than normally thick rough. I would recommend to a friend with a stern warning beware of conditions.

This was the worst layout imaginable. Forced layups; no risk/reward holes. More than a few ground under around greens. Greens did roll true, that’s my only positive.

Fantastic! Fairways were in excellent condition. Greens were plush bent grass. Really fantastic course to play, especially for the price. Can’t wait to play again. P.s. admirer of the history.

Really great course. Management has really be trying to upgrade course. Course had a few ground under repairs is the reason for 4 star course layout. Greens are great, just slow which is not what I really prefer.

There were many positives but the negatives seemed to have stuck with me through the positives. Pace wasn’t bad; my friend and I play at a faster pace than most so we tend to catch groups on courses. The problem was no one was letting us through even though we both play about scratch level golf. Fairways greens and we putting most of the time. The fairways weren’t in great shape, seemed like they haven’t been mowed and weeds were kind of bad throughout. Greens were the best part. Bunkers the worst, no sand and lots of rocks. Overall I would caution a friend who would ask me about playing there.

Pace of play is only reason I don’t give it 5 star. Group of us went day after multiple day rain days and course drains awesome. Some spots were wet however after that much rain I kind of expected it to be wetter. We got stuck behind a group of 4 walkers and they refused to let anyone go through them. Very frustrating!
